I think the superplex into falcon arrow would be a kick ass big match super finisher back in 90s All Japan. As a throwaway mid-match spot it's fucking annoying.

I'm thinking maybe the idea was PAC vs. Omega to crown their first champion.

I don't think PAC is the issue as much as DG is. Dave seemed to think they booked this thinking he wouldn't have the belt anymore and then could lose to Omega in the fall. They seemed to heavily underestimate how long he's going to have the belt. The belt is the main issue and they don't want to do draws or a DQ because they want wins/losses to matter.

I think Adam Page is a perfectly good gatekeeper type. He would be a good secondary title holder or that guy you beat on your way up to facing Omega .

I have a Houston program from 1982 and a Detroit one and a few more WWWF ones heading my way. I will get those scanned when I get a chance.

There's so much fat on the shows now. I go through and watch just the matches and fast forward through the rest. I can usually get through a 4 hour PPV in less than 2 hours.

Lacey has done some really good character work in the lead up to this match. I don't know where it can ever go because the rest of the division is a complete joke.

So what Dave saying is the issue might be that Pac was going to win here but the issue was Pac vs. Omega at All In 2. That makes sense but I think they should have considered his status as DG Champion before they planned that.

Magic Dragon is also another great worker on 1982 WCCW. Consistently good TV performances.
