Ring of Honor Wrestling
They had some real buzz when Colt Cabana and Adam Pearce were feuding over the belt. Then the NWA torpedoed that one.

I feel like the NWA concept is only going to go so far with Aldis as champion.

WWE TV 04/22 - 04/26: Institutionalized Insanity
I think the sameness is a big part of it. I also think the announcers partaking and pushing the lingo so much hurts as well.

This bugs me too. I was talking about this with someone after a match recently. I said "if that was Randy Savage, he would have done that and then sucker punched them".

It's what I hate about current WWE. They just sign guys so no one else can have them, not because they have any desire to use them.

There are WWE apologists shitting on Harper for posting about it on Facebook actually.

WWE TV 04/22 - 04/26: Institutionalized Insanity
My wife watched the Mania Weekend Chikara show with me and did a podcast about it with me. One of the characters that stood out to her was as Hermit Crab. Not for anything she did in the ring but because of the announcers talking about what a jerk he was. Mike Quackenbush said on commentary "he charged me to take a picture with him". That is something really really small but it made him memorable to someone that never saw him before and she wanted to see more of him.

That's also a huge problem with WWE TV that doesn't get talked about enough. No one talks like a fucking human being anymore and I think it turns a lot of people off.

I think so. One of the WrestleCon shows did super harsh cuts during a comedy spot as a shot at WWE during Mania weekend.

WWE TV 04/22 - 04/26: Institutionalized Insanity
I think these are some of their biggest issue: 1. They haven't made any changes to the presentation since 1997. Their shows just look outdated and you get assaulted with constant jump cuts or missing things because they are trying to grab crowd reactions. It's really unpleasant to watch. and this is IMO the biggest problem. 2. They still book and present a product for casual fans. There are no fucking casual WWE fans anymore. There's too much WWE content on TV in a week for someone to be a casual now. All they have left is their core audience and they've been in a pissing match with them for the last 5 years.

Obviously the ratings are falling because there hasn't been enough Baron Corbin on TV.

I don't know why they would even use her in the first place. I doubt someone is going to buy the game because she had a role in it.

I think there are consumables so there's probably some sort of fatigue system to it. It looks like you can avoid it unless you want different looks for characters.

Microtransactions and lootboxes in full retail games have turned into a no buy for me.

Starting to dive back into the NWA Anarchy TV. The Devil Rejects era is one of my favorite eras of wrestling TV ever. I've been slowly getting the TV on DVD and I am really looking forward to watching it all again.

WWE TV 04/15 - 04/21: Superstar Shakeup but the real Shakeup is a country who arrests and beats up its teachers
That's kind of the theme to his career. Mediocre as shit but hangs around until he's the only option for a better gig.

WWE TV 04/15 - 04/21: Superstar Shakeup but the real Shakeup is a country who arrests and beats up its teachers
The well got poisoned early with the Sasha news. People changed their tunes a lot when Meltzer explained the situation. There's a difference when it's presented like a temper tantrum and once you get the details and realize they got fucked over in a really shitty way. There's also this weird apologist movement for the Iconics where you say anything remotely negative about them and defenders come out of the woodwork.

Bray wrestled at a house show I went to the day after Christmas so he's been ready to go for awhile.

The problem is they have to think outside of the box for creative. Like bring in the guy that books AIW or who was doing CWF Mid-Atlantic. If Mania Weekend taught me one thing it's that wrestling has almost an embarrassment of riches when it comes to creativity. Go find one of those guys instead of relying on big league retreads.

Post-Mania TV 2019
God could come down from heaven to personally teach Seth and he would still be a shitty promo.

On a whim I decided to order Hardcore Hell for this weekend. I used to love NWA Anarchy and I'm kind of interested in seeing the show and maybe getting back into the TV.

Ring of Honor Wrestling
I used to like going to the shows because it was cheap and the matches were usually decent. Now they charge WWE prices so I no longer go.

I will check out the other Joey Janela shows and They Said It Couldn't Be Done and see what I think.

Ring of Honor Wrestling
I agree that their promotion is too predictable. They need to change up their title reign length to keep people guessing. Their idea of unpredictable will be the wrong response to that issue though.

It's RoH too so you now Taven is getting like 10 months as champion.
