WWE 24/7 and/or DVD Hilarity (or "OMG VINCE REWRITES HISTORY)
TNT was showing that many commercials. Hell, if they didn't run ten minutes long every week I could have gotten four or five episodes on one six hour tape.

Poll for 11/08/06: The Survivor Series format
All elimination matches but with a singles match main event While I love the elimination concept, it's hard for most casual fans to get into the show knowing nothing's really going to happen. Throw in a title match or something important, and you have a unique PPV that people might buy.

Fact Or Fiction II: The Return Of The Long Forgotten Answer
One line I swear I heard watching WMVI live on closed circuit but have never heard on tape since: [Hogan has Warrior in a front facelock] Gorilla: "What a punishing hold this is." Jesse: "Certainly. Ask Richard Belzer." Did I imagine Ventura saying that?

WWE.com's 2007 DVD Release List
The WCCW and Horsemen sets better be 3-discs each, and even so they'll leave tons of great stuff out due to time constraints.

Wrestling thoughts that probably don't deserve
Slam Wrestling has an interview with Cpl. Kirchner, who said "I'm not dead." Oops.

Wrestling thoughts that probably don't deserve
And sadly, reports were that M-Dogg was actually getting over at the ROH Detroit show. I've seen wrestlers never get enough upper midcard on an indy show that operates in a bar that were better than M-Dogg 20 and will never get a chance to work in an ROH ring.

From the things that make me happy dept.: At the Circuit City I work at, we sold more copies of the Brian Pillman DVD (4) in the first week than we have of the McMahon DVD (2) since its release.

That was pretty much the gist of it. Scott Steiner said something at Chi-Town Rumble about an "accident" Rick had that made him that way, but nothing ever became of it as far as I can recall.

The Guerrero Heel Turn
I think this angle clearly calls for the return of Papa Shango with Eddie as his zombie slave. I think having a mix of the popular personas of The Godfather and Papa Shango would be needed. Pimpin' Shango could curse Mysterio so his eyes went a strange colour... um... wait, scratch that... maybe he could set a zombie ho on Mysterio so a strange colour liquid oozed out of a particular orifice before he then let La Parka Guerrero kick ass on Mysterio. It has money written all over it, DAMNIT! Afterwards he can move to ECW and manage La Parka Guerrero and The Zombie who feud with Balls Mahoney and Sabu because while one may have more balls than brains while the other is suicidal, homicidal, genocidal and maniacal, you can kill a walking skeleton and a zombie. Bring in Kevin Thorn, The Yeti and Giant Gonzales and you have a brand new Monsters faction. It writes itself. They'd have to move the feud over to ECW though or nobody would buy it.

Roddy Piper DVD Matchlist
In fairness, that Piper tape came out in 1982, so they only had a year and a half worth of footage to use. But still, at the very least the August 1984 Snuka match from MSG should have made the cut.

Brian Pillman DVD Match Listing
That's certainly much better than the "original" lineup that had been going around the last two weeks. Plenty of stuff I don't have, and I've never seen the Pillman-Liger match uncut, so I'm definitely putting this on my Christmas list.

Roddy Piper DVD Matchlist
No Snuka matches though? You'd think at least their first MSG match (where Piper "injures" Snuka's neck with the piledriver) would have at least been put on there.

Don't worry bravesfan. WWE will stick to YouTube for another month or so then go to their yearly crackdown of ebay.

Wrestling thoughts that probably don't deserve
If anything about that surprised me, it's that Stephanie had the common sense to tell Vince it was a bad idea.

Interesting Todd Martin Article
I would add one more thing to that: Separate booking teams for each brand. Three different brands, and lots of times they don't even feel like different shows, just the same shows with the names and faces different.

Well, we thought they were going to go that route four years ago when Vince was caught staring at Stephanie's cleavage, so why is anybody acting surprised?

Rocky Johnson: What Happened?
The main reason he got depushed was he was in his 40s and Vince wanted to push the guys around Hogan's age (and younger in a lot of cases). That simple. As for why his ringwork depleted, I dunno. I know losing to Jesse Ventura in four minutes when the first three minutes of the match is stalling certainly can't be good for morale, but Johnson went from Tag Team Champion and IC contender to JTTS in about six months flat.

Scaffold Matches
Oh God, you mean the one where nobody wanted to take the big bump so they did a "capture the flag" finish instead?

WrestleMania XXIII at Ford Field
It's a four hour drive for me, so unless they jack up ticket prices to obscene levels, I'll probably go since I've never been to a WrestleMania and plans to attend X8 in Toronto fell through. Not sure I'll stay awake for the card though.

Shawn Michaels Ten Years Later
Michaels vs. Benjamin as a PPV feud is one I want to see, but only if Benjamin goes over in the end.

The New ECW is Good
Wait a second. Using Test to get someone over? I never thought I'd hear that sentence uttered.

The New ECW is Good
As an old diehard ECW fan, we were given the hope that it was going to be Paul Heyman running the show and said that it had to be Paul E.'s baby or it wasn't truly ECW. Obviously, it's not Paul E.'s baby. That being said, the pieces are all there for ECW to be significant. Enough of the older guys to bring about what ECW was all about, some up-and-coming young talent, some hot chicks (well, Ariel at least). Two things are killing it for me: The insistence on pushing guys like Test who weren't any good in WWE either, and the fact that ECW rules are only in effect once a week on an ECW show.
