I do think one of the weaker parts of the show is that really none of the results are really in doubt outside probably the women’s title match. One of the things that really made other shows AEW has put on stand out was when doubt was able to creep in. This looks like so much chalk.

I do believe that if you think of the entire essence of pro wrestling, in totality, however you choose to believe it, Terry Funk embodied that more than any other wrestler who ever did it. I never saw anyone do all the things he did. I saw some folks do certain things maybe better, but Terry did it ALL. And GREAT. There will never be another. Rest in power.

I just thought it was good top to bottom. Punk’s goofy sly dig, the BC Gold stuff (Cardboard cutout stuff rules), Hobbs/Moro build, even Cage in the main event. Toni’s gonna be some kind of entrance at Wembley, I bet.

I don’t doubt that; I just think it’s funny that reality paints a very different picture of all this. It’s the same point I made when it all happened: The Bucks made a mistake, Punk also made a mistake, but Punk’s version of what’s happened has bore true more than the Bucks’ version has. Punk at least understands there’s business to be made here, while the Bucks are playing the Holier Than Thou card it seems.
