Not watching. You’re saying he looked more like his old self?

Need someone in a LMS match to step on a rake. Preferably multiple rakes.

Kitomiya would be inspired but his biggest beef is with Okada, so you’d need that to lead to something.

SANADA was the #2 guy in the most popular faction the company had and they had to pull the trigger on him at some point. Ibushi is rightfully holding out for a better deal given his split previously. Shingo being on the other side of 40, and having not really done much of note in a singles capacity other than during the pandemic, has hurt him. I hope he gets a good G-1 run to be built back up as they need it, but I feel like with the new crop they’re skewing younger.

In which Bryan Danielson will unleash his innermost Bob Orton and Mox gets to whoop up Ishii. These next two months will be fascinating, especially if they put Punk and Joe across from each other for the first singles match in almost two decades in a fucking tourney semi-final.

My guess is that they’re going to at Wrestle Kingdom. They did that back and forth with Ospreay/Omega when folks thought it would be a Wembley rubber match, and I think Danielson’s first NJPW match back being Wrestle Kingdom would be a huge deal.

The first winner on an NXT non-Full Sail special. Incredible.

AEW Forbidden Door 2 - 6-25-23 - Okada vs. Danielson
It’s true but there have been some freak injuries, as well, like tonight. I’d much rather they think about taking care of their talent the best they can. They even keep dudes out of matches because of the flu. It hits on both extremes.

That was brought up. A lot of good matchups there. I’m now pretty convinced the seizure spot was on the fly considering it was right after the elbow drop. And that his quip about the magician not revealing his secrets was along those lines.

Broken arm for Danielson, out 6-8 weeks. Wrestled last 10 minutes with it.

Media scrum starting late, kinda weird. Danielson needed to be told no with the seizures. Took away a lot from the stretch run.

I think a return match at WK18 is in the cards.

AEW Forbidden Door 2 - 6-25-23 - Okada vs. Danielson
The crowd I think expected something along the lines of Omega/Ospreay (which lol) but that match was about as good as you could expect there.

Final Countdown AND Okada Bucks, good lord almighty.

What the bell was that match, Jericho needing to get his heat back like that was the absolute worst. I guess the crowd is down enough for the main event, though.

Sting took a goddamn 630 through a table in 2023. What in the world.

I totally bit on the rope break. There was some bullshit down the stretch that didn’t need to be there with some of the near falls, Callis was as not even remotely necessary, and I guess they don’t do a rubber match at Wembley, which is why they emptied the clip tonight. But it WAS a great match, even with some unforced errors.

Good little title match, SANADA looked really good and crisp, got over well with the crowd. Enjoyable first few matches in the show so far.

Better four way than most, really good mesh of personalities, DG is the best Fandango ever

Much better than the opener in so many ways, Kojima killed it this time around after an okay showing last year.
