I actually think that's the plan. I know Roman/Brock is the plan to make Roman, but Rollins cashing in is THE twist move that would make that match compelling.

The kitchen sink part with Parv was awesome. I just love how that name came about. Knee to the gut. The gut has all the "plumbing" of the body. Hence, "kitchen sink." God bless Japan.

Great resource, but I really hope people actually take the time to listen to it. It's 2 hours, sure, but you get a lot more out of listening to it than the transcription will give you. Well worth the time.

Considering he overtook Cena in march sales, I'd say he moved business pretty well. And in all fairness, the stuff he got a chance to headline wasn't exactly well done. Part of that is on him for not speaking up, but I don't feel bad for him at all.

This is the part I agree with most in all the responses so far. It's one thing to be difficult, but at the same time, even if you're difficult and the guy is making you money, you can't say no to him making money for you. It's up to the guys in charge to make sure he's put in a good position. It does back up once again that the WWE really only cares about who they think are the top guys and if they aren't in their plans, you have to go above and beyond what's necessary to make yourself a part of them. There's plenty I disagreed with in the interview, but there's a lot more that I did agree with. Just because someone is an asshole by nature doesn't mean you dismiss him every time he brings something up because you don't necessarily agree with his point of view.

Flair was damn near sociopathic (PWO Word of the Day) about wanting to be the best. I think Flair was trying to make his entire persona great, whereas Bret was great in the ring and wanted to prove things that way more than anything else. I don't think it was about a degree of motivation so much as it was where they decide to use that motivation.

Yeah, for all the things you might call him selfish about, him looking at the big picture supersedes that in a lot of ways. He always talked about how to keep pushing forward and keep things going with different guys, yet he didn't get a chance to do that much.

As a followup, is anyone gonna do a reaction show to this?

Good lord, that was absolutely INCREDIBLE. I'm not even sure what I could ask as follow ups. WWE was an absolute piece of shit to him. The stories were terrific. The stuff about Ryback, the firing...all of it was just nuts. That type of candidness even now is still shocking, but shocking in the best way possible.

iTunes has what ends up being almost the full 2 hours up. If it's only the first 50 minutes, well, it's the second 50 minutes you want. Especially when he talks about him telling Vince he's leaving. And some very pointed words for Triple H. Totally worth it.

On iTunes, it literally broke the downloading system for about a half hour, I'd wager. Had to try downloading this about a dozen times. I'd say there's a bit of anticipation for this.

JBL had his notes prepared for the Sting debut last night and started reading off accomplishments, which is hilarious considering, you know, it was a surprise that he was coming back. That being said, he dropped Aja Kong during the Divas match and I'm pretty sure it cracked up Cole and Lawler because there was a good 15-20 seconds of silence before Cole responded. Cole during the main last night was actually close to sounding like Cole at his best.

Ah, so that's how it's gonna happen. Cena's team will win and then he'll bring them back to power.

Wow. That show just looks...really not that good. How do you not have a third SS match there? I'll still pop like a crazy man for Sting when that music hits, though.

Most likely. They've been pushing that since the return with the WWE commercial.

Ha, Van Hammer as the male bimbo is terrific. Either that or Bagwell. Really enjoyed being a part of this one. A lot of great stuff from everyone.

Well, WWE took their best announcer off the air and put him in a way less visible role as the commissioner of NXT, so I'm not sure how much they value commentary right now. They also don't really have a distinctive voice. Ross was distinctive, Schiavone to an extent was distinctive, early King, even Styles to an extent, and he was such a one-trick pony that he was at least something different to listen to. I never got that with Cole, don't get it with JBL, don't get why Alex Riley is behind a microphone. Hell, I'd love a shot but at this point, I can't imagine me wanting to call something straight with someone screaming in my ear. I just don't think they care about commentary. It's at the bottom of their list of importance when it comes to production of a show, and that's on McMahon and Dunn.

His one-year deal had a lot to do with that, too. When he wasn't doing that UK tour and had previously gotten a ton of money wrestling for Wrestle-1 in Japan, there wasn't much keeping him there. Then when he broke his ankle, they did everything they could with him but decided it wasn't worth his push. The Brock stuff only happened because they figure it was the only way they thought he could draw. And then Brock decided he wasn't about that life either. The HHH stuff looks bad (hell, it almost always does), but I think the Goldberg stuff was fucked from the start.

Sure, but what's to stop him from making a phone call to try and make it happen? I'm not saying Paul is being 100% truthful (although the fact he said it right away makes me think it couldn't have been complete bullshit either), but he reached out to AAA, he reached out to FMW, he reached out to Michinoku Pro, a phone call or two to see if it could happen makes sense, at least.

Hayabusa and Shinzaki were semi-regularly working AJPW after the '97 RWTL, meaning that there was an in there for Heyman if he wanted it. I'm guessing the injury put the end to those talks, though.
