The Thread Killer Talks Too Much: The Recaps
Mick Foley in his first autobiography relates a quick note from the Undertaker, that Sawyer took Taker's money for training and skipped town.

The Thread Killer Talks Too Much: The Recaps
For as much as Conrad likes to use Meltzer as a punching bag, it feels like half his podcasts are reading the Observer and asking people about it.

The Thread Killer Talks Too Much: The Recaps
Gorgeous George was such a ubiquitous part of wrestling in his heyday that he could've been confused with any number of other wrestlers. My dad told me years ago that he saw "Gorgeous George" on the 700 Club (pretty sure it was Superstar Billy Graham).

Is the empire crumbling before our eyes?
I'm picturing Triple H doing his elaborate entrance and spraying disinfectant instead of water.

WM37, WM38, and WM39 dates/locations confirmed by WWE
TBH there's so little supply in live entertainment that anything that can hold fans is going to draw, initially. Whether it should of course is another matter. I suspect there will come a point later where people start pinching their pennies and get more choosy about what they spend their money on.

Wrestling Bookers
I've probably derailed the topic irreparably . But AJPW for all its glory forced women to retire at 26. Giving women a strong voice helps to quell those paternalistic tendencies and create more storylines to appeal to a wider audience, as well as give the women themselves more agency.

Wrestling Bookers
Women. I don't know who the best mind is out there. But if wrestling is serious about promoting women, give one the book.

Best match you ever saw live in person?
I’ve never been to a PPV. I was at a house show the day before a ppv that featured a great Cena/Ziggler match. The Shield’s first match as a trio was on that card as well.

I assume the kid in the mask is Brodie Jr. maybe it’s me but I’m wary of his grieving process being so public.

R.I.P. Jon Huber (Brodie Lee/Luke Harper)
Looking at Amanda’s Instagram and reading about all this, for her to handle all this, manage her kids and hold everything together, she is a fucking champion.

From December 7 Observer, referring to a Tony Khan press call... Surrounded by family, so this wasn’t sudden. Whatever it is, it’s really awful.

RIP Danny Hodge
I can’t do Hodge justice. Hell of an amateur career and had long reigns as world junior heavyweight champion.

WWE TV 12/21 - 12/27 Happy Holidays! Mario Odyssey is pretty fucking great!
Best Buy has Odyssey for $40, I went for it.

Greatest Rookie Year Ever
Lex Luger is a topic of discussion in another thread. He was a top star in Florida literally weeks into his career.

2020 Wrestling Observer Hall of Fame
The thing I question with Taue is there is already about 17 wrestlers whose peak was 1990s Japan. It's a highly represented group. Two questions I would have, and these are honest questions. I don't have a predetermined opinion. 1. Is Akira Taue the best Japanese candidate from any era (excepting Kazuchika Okada)? 2. How does Taue rate among Kensuke Sasaki, Ultimo Dragon, Hiroshi Hase, Steve Williams?

WWE TV 12/7-12/13 Congrats to Becky and Seth
It's not bad as a downtown. It's just at least a 30 minute drive from any other downtown. But it is a decent drive from the P.C.

RIP Pat Patterson
I don't know how to gauge Patterson personally since a bit of the criticism seemed caught up in homophobia and general bigotry. I think there's something there, but I'm not in any position to know. Certainly an all time great mind and from all accounts a great in-ring performer.

Nothing to add except I really enjoy reading that type of information.
