Jim Breaks Arrested For Beating Wife To Death
Awful. And the description of Breaks watching tv on the sofa while a woman bleeds in the bath makes me wonder if he has all his facilities.

Netflix creating a comedy series based on G.L.O.W.
That type of sex scene is NOT a regular occurrence, fwiw. Nudity almost disappears after the first two episodes. The series to me is six or seven out of ten. I might not be as interested if the topic weren't wrestling.

Netflix creating a comedy series based on G.L.O.W.
Wife likes the show, so easy thumbs up. One inside reference I love: Chavo's boxing gym. Nice little omage to the original trainer.

WWE Network... It's Here
I'm about a third of the way through the Jericho pod and Christ, Bruno's mom was a fucking saint.

Irrational pet peeves displayed by carny wrestlers
Usually I find it means "there's a deep socialogical explanation for it but you can't explain someone of my level to give it."

WWE Network... It's Here
Bruno wrestled Bob Sr. at the Garden. That's really freaking cool.

Most Shocking Title Changes
What about Flair's second WWF title? It had been 15 years since they switched the world title outside of national tv/ppv or MSG.

What If.... The Slam Heard Around The World
Given that the Dynamite Kid suffered a career ending injury and missed two months, I'm inclined to propose a Weekend At Bernies situation where Hogan is propped up at the next tapings while WWF insists nothing happened.

Best parent and child combination
Dory Funk Sr. gives me the impression of Terry and Dory Jr.'s love child, and I mean that in the nicest way. Dory's look and Terry's personality. I suspect he could go in the ring, but we've only got eight minutes of footage to back that up. Best one not yet mentioned: Rocky and Dwayne Johnson. The younger Rock is an all time great. His dad is a fringe Hall of Fame candidate in his own right. Edit: One more, Tony and Matt Borne. Matt was very good. I've never heard anyone talk of him in higher esteem than Tony.

Is "Merch Sales" the new "Drawing Money"?
It's also a chicken and egg thing where of course they carry one particular wrestler's merchandise because well, it sells and you have to physically cart this stuff from arena to arena, store it, handle other logistics connected with keeping an inventory. You can't carry a bunch of Karl Anderson merchandise around for the sake of fairness.

Greatest championship reigns
Are Gang, Khan and Sika really stiffs? Certainly not the Gang who was actually a good worker.
-
Greatest championship reigns
I suspect Hogan was working such an insane schedule that if he didn't adapt to working a simple formula, he would crash and burn. They were literally flying him to multiple time zones in the same day.
- Billy Corgan "has agreed in principle" to buy the NWA

Greatest championship reigns
I'll throw one out of left field. Adonis and Murdoch's tag team championship run.
-
WWE Payback
I frequently lose track of who are brothers, which are Afa's, which are Sika's, etc.

Unicorn Gimmick Matches
Believe World Class ran the same gimmick that Summer.

Comments that don't warrant a thread - Part 4
Greg Oliver and Steve Johnson list these as well: The Rock 'n' Roll Rebels (One variation of this team appeared in WCW as the Ding Dongs) New York Dolls (Rick McGraw and Troy Graham) Pretty Young Things (Koko B Ware and Norvell Austin) New Fabulous Ones (Eddie Gilbert and Tommy Rich) The New Breed The American Males Should add their premise had the Fabs as the originals. The Males were much more Fabulous Ones than RnR's. And really highlights the difference of the gimmicks, imo.

Vince McMahon Biopic in the works
I watched "The Founder" over the weekend and it struck me as a similar type of story. An incredibly driven business man who isn't an overtly evil person but is willing to roll over business associates to meet his goals. Plus, if you got Nick Offerman to play an NWA style promoter that would redeem the film by itself.

I can't say for certain, but modern boxing does utilize a warning buzzer for that purpose.

Who is the worst booker ever?
That people want to be employed in wrestling but have no interest in its history or psychology.
