Mobile login
This is a weird one maybe. I got a new iPad. Notice there’s no visible way on the forums to log in. Finally figured out that I could start a new topic and that would take me to a log in screen. But on a mobile site I don’t see a way to log in, access account info, etc.

Is it possible the World Cup in Qatar next month kind of dictates the schedule on it?

Cursory but nothing historically inaccurate from what I could gather.

Is the empire crumbling before our eyes?
The problem is if you're not bringing in guys to be main eventers who are more over than your current top talent, then you're just filling roles that are already covered by existing talent. That's not going to go over well with your existing roster, especially when they don't spike business.

AEW TV - September 28/30, 2022
Frank Howard was built like Aaron Judge. Not quite as athletic but a massive slugger. Yeah. You can't go Yankees jersey since it's the most patronizing rivalry possible. You get one over on the Yankees and they treat you like their little brother who actually won something for once.

Billy Goelz and other 50s finds
There's a parallel to other sports and industries in this period. Women had a great deal of success in the '40s. Women took jobs during the war, the All American Girls Professional Baseball League enjoyed a decade plus run. But that all died off in the early '50s and I think that context needs to be remembered as far as womens' wrestling. Laprade and Murphy's book Sisterhood has a chapter on Mortensen as well as Cora Livingston who IIRC came slightly before. Invaluable reading as far as womens' wrestling in the US.

WWE playing White Rabbit at houseshows.....
This all sets the stage for the Alan Parsons Project, which I believe is some sort of hovercraft.

Lopez had a share of the world championship so I’d say he’s deserving there. Vermont had John McMahon who while being a VERY deep cut was easily one of the top five of the Civil War era.

Is the empire crumbling before our eyes?
Regal tends to mask his comments pretty well and you really need to read between the lines to see what he's addressing. The one thing I would object to are his "on the clock" comments. Being a professional athlete means you work a 24 hour job. If you eat garbage on your off time it's going to affect your performance. You have to constantly monitor your health and be diligent. So if a worker needs mental down time on show day I'm not going to object as long as they're able to perform at show time.

Is the empire crumbling before our eyes?
Backstage issues like this happen, both in wrestling and legitimate sports. In MLB from time to time a locker room incident will leak out and the standard operating procedure is to smother it with silence. That CM Punk was allowed to rant like that with his boss sitting next to him is the holy crap part of all this. Everything else you can come back from but Tony Khan looks awfully feckless right now.

Worlds Collide: NXT vs. WWE vs. NXT UK
I’m not good enough at evaluating in-ring wrestling to say exactly how good Mandy is. But she’s good enough and she has everything else you could want from a wrestler. Meiko Satomura is awesome, of course.

I'll give Conrad this. Foley finishes up talking noting what a tragedy Benoit was for WWE and the industry. Conrad responds directing the tragedy where it really was, Daniel and Nancy.

The Beginner's Guide To British Wrestling
Looking at the song's wiki, it was used for a sitcom about a British working class family in 1975. I think if you look at music in the 1960s, a lot of bands and artists did a lot of covers. They needed material and while in America we think of the British Invasion, a lot of our music crossed over to the other side of the Atlantic as well.

All Elite Wrestling
From what I've gathered Nord busted up Reed decently and Reed ending up threatening Nord with a comically large pipe. Bill Watts' response was they should have round two in the ring where people could pay to see it.

Greatest British Wrestlers Ever
Brits in the 2016 GWE poll: 1. William Regal 2. Finlay 3. Billy Robinson 4. Jim Breaks 4b. Bill Dundee. Born in Scotland but he was raised in Melbourne. I don't think I would consider him British under the strictest definition. 5. The Dynamite Kid 6. Steve Grey 7. Johnny Saint 8. Marty Jones 9. Davey Boy Smith 10. Terry Rudge

Vince still holds most of the voting stock. As much as Vince is no longer CEO, he still wields enormous power.
