RIP "Judo" Gene LeBell
Like someone trying to win?

Ric Flair (sigh)
The last eight minutes or so of the match is one of the single worst wrestling performances I have ever seen. Taking strikes and not even registering (let alone selling), taking a tag while laying down, passing out himself while administering his own finishing hold. It was brutal.

WWE TV 8/1-8/7 - Needs more tractors
It also gives you a better idea of what the fans accept and what they reject.

Regal on his podcast highly recommended Madness.

Wrong. The correct lyrics are whatever Lemmy sings.

Is the empire crumbling before our eyes?
Vince didn't fall because of the product. Vince fell because the company and corporate culture was garbage. He is still the primary owner and his proteges are now in charge. For people to say WWE is wonderful because the product is better misses the real problem.

Is Vince McMahon done?
Vince is still the owner, still has majority voting share in the company. So even if he’s not involved in day-to-day operations, people lose sight that this is still his company.

WWE TV 07/18 - 07/24 Is Mike Mizanin the greatest Nature Boy ever
People who think Vince McMahon has single handedly ruined professional wrestling and that the on screen product will improve by his mere absence are dilusional, IMO. But as an influence and person in general, he really needs/needed to go.

Workers who never had their best match
Borne is in a category of guys who probably had great matches that just aren’t on film.

Is the empire crumbling before our eyes?
The two WSJ articles also dropped on Fridays. I can’t imagine how many hats Meltzer has punched through.

All Elite Wrestling
Sometimes I go down the boxing highlights rabbit hole on YouTube and Mauro’s style really stands out there too in a way I do not enjoy. If AEW were to hire another commentator, that’s an area where they would do well to hire or use a female. A different perspective than the eight or so others that they use now. (And in this house we stan Veda Scott.)

WWE TV 7/11-7/17
WWE going to TV-14 because otherwise they can talk about Vince McMahon’s scandals on air.

AEW TV 07/13 - 07/15 Board is looking SPIFFY
Found Tony Khan's burner account!

Always a good time when you find out who doesn't have an NDA

Is the empire crumbling before our eyes?
The problem is that essentially Vince names the Board of Directors.

Is the empire crumbling before our eyes?
You're right. Frankly that Vince is soliciting sexual favors from his female talent is damning enough.

Joy Giovanni and Amy Weber as well. Weber quit. Giovanni returned for the WM 25 battle royal, as did Gayda.

Bandit caught my eye at the Pride and Vice weekend. They definitely seem like someone fun to watch.

AEW Forbidden Door - When the door is actually forbidden and we are just tempting fate
I think AEW could easily do six PPVs a year. Forbidden Door seems like something that would work best every other year. Unless you rotate promotions you work with.

AEW TV - 6/29 and 7/1 - Blood & Innards Is A Better Name
If the board had a like function I would like a lot of these posts. The fans seem to like the style so what do I know? But it’s not for me. And I suspect the style will end up burning out the audience.

Is the empire crumbling before our eyes?
There’s a lesson there to the difference between an outside celebrity and a trained wrestler. The act gets stale. Ronda just being Ronda doesn’t mean as much each time out. Now she has to get over via her skill as a wrestler. And Ronda year four isn’t as engaging as Becky or Bayley or Asuka year four.

Book him against Walter/Gunther.

I'm a little surprised to see more heroes than villains in that story.
