It's still odd on that front, since I've never seen anyone suggest that Bob Armstrong is one of the 100 greatest wrestlers ever. I rarely hear a WON HOF argument for him, and that group is 200+ now. Other marginal wrestlers you could at least point to a memorable WWE stint. But Bullet Bob just seems...random.

From August '91 to April '92 Jake had an aborted feud with the Ultimate Warrior, feuded with Randy Savage and then had a brief feud with the Undertaker before quitting the company. Three top faces before Roberts took off. Can't really do much better than that.

WWEClassics.com aired Tuesday In Texas this month. I gotta say, Jake Roberts in late '91 took WWF heeling to a new plane of existance. Holy shit. For about 6 months, Roberts was perhaps the most effective heel WWF ever had.

People have turned on MITB already? Seriously? It's usually one of the best matches on the card, the only downside has been how they've kind of booked themselves into a corner with the winner getting the title every time, so it's going to end up like the Rumble where only certain guys logically can win it. I wished it would've gone away two years ago. You either end up repeating the same match over and over or you do increasingly dangerous spots that endanger the health of your workers. Even good spotfests get old after awhile.

Well Rhodes and Dibiase are fairly famous names, but Hennig is known under the Mr. Perfect persona while Rotunda was more famous in WWE for the IRS gimmick. Perhaps it has to do with the popularity of those individual names. Also worth noting Alberto Del Rio. They don't play up his bloodlines at all.

WWEClassics.com for February has the Sammartino/Hansen MSG cage match. Good match, somewhat formulaic but it works. Hansen bumps all over the place and shows his ass a little too often for comfort (thank god for pixilation). I liked Hansen's tendency to load his elbowpad for the lariat coming into play, and Sammartino destroying Hansen when he got ahold of that elbowpad. And the best part of WWE 1970s cage matches: decisive finishes. I know a lot of people hate the escape rule but when Bruno leaves his opponent in a bloody heap, its a great end to a feud. The crowd as well was red hot from the start.

Kind of like Eric Bischoff challenging Vince McMahon on PPV and then claiming a count-out win when McMahon didn't show up. ICW ran this gimmick several times where they'd advertise their stars against Memphis stars, and advertise alternate matches in case the Memphis stars didn't accept their challenge.

The emphasis during the second Hogan-Bundy match on SNME was that Andre was in Bundy's corner. I'd think most experienced viewers would know where that was headed.

In between WWF and WCW, Jesse Ventura did commentary for something called "Grudge Match." It was a ridiculous show where feuding couples faced each other in a best of three physical combat. Its in the category of so over-the-top that its quite amusing to watch.

The other thing for me is that having aspergers, I don't react to things in the way a normal person does. It doesn't mean my emotions are any different, but I don't really show it. I have a hard time judging someone based on how they're "supposed" to react.

During the territories days we might've gotten that matchup. Flair (or Funk or Race for that matter) as traveling champion defending in ECW would've been golden.
