I completely agree. Though I don't think anyone really expected Dean Ambrose: face-in-peril brawling icon to happen in the first place.

Where does Sting fit in WWE today?
Do you guys think they'd even bother with being selective in choosing where he debuts? If only to get a decent pop. You can't exactly have Sting debut in Dayton Ohio like they did with Bret.

Exactly how close are we to the time HHH uses all 3 Motorhead songs in one evening?

I guess about his health? I don't remember what they were specifically. I do however remember a blurb saying he's wasn't nearly as banged up as commonly thought. It may or may not have involved a comparison to Kurt Angle's health.

RIP Mad Dog
To give you an idea of how big this guy is over here, the radio station I listen to just stopped everything a few minutes ago to talk about Mad Dog. RIP big guy.

Most boring wrestler of all time?
That's perfectly defendable, though it shows how bloated and over the hill he was when he got to the WWF. To show the other Bravo I should probably upload some of his segments from the Golden Age of Quebec Wrestling DVD, especially the Montreal match vs. Martel and the Quebec City rematch. Also the feud of him and Martel vs Eddie Creatchman's crew was great, not technical masterpieces but tons of drama and hot crowds. None of that seems to be on youtube sadly.

Exceptions to the rule
That's accurate. His body was basically shot. I recall him mentioning in a radio interview that he got both hips done around 2003 or 2004. He's doing great now though, ran into him at a signing for Pat and Bertrand's book yesterday. He's in scary good shape.

Goddamn, so DeNucci is 81 today?? Doesn't look a day over 65, then again he looks like the kind of guy who's at the gym every day like Bruno.

Andre the Giant
Yeah, even at the very end he was great with facial expressions and subtleties to get a match going. Him and Baba vs. Demolition or even Williams/Gordy are good examples of this.

WHEELCHAIR HEYMAN! This would be even better if his stable wasn't Lesnar + the JOB Squad

Pretty sure his dad was assistant tour manager for Spinal Tap at some point

WCW's Highway to Hell
Yep, Marc Blondin with Michel Letourneur who was doing a heel schtik while not knowing a thing about wrestling. Also they had a local indy guy I've never heard of named Thor who had a Goldberg fetish. I vividly remember him doing a segment on why Goldberg needed to work on his abs using a life-sized cardboard cutout. Before these two, Blondin was working with Richard ''Le Magnifique'' Charland, some old timer from Grand Prix Wrestling. Also of note: with the exception of a few months in late 2001 (when RDS was presenting the last 10 or 12 WCW PPV's announced by two other guys) and 2002 up until they started airing TNA with a few weeks delay, Marc Blondin has been doing WCW/TNA continuously since 1995 or 1996, he's the iron man of shit wrestling.

WCW's Highway to Hell
This last post brought back pain from 13 years ago uncomfortably close to the surface. God that was bad... though I did have the luxury of watching it in french with a 3-man commentary team very much aware that this was complete crap.

Wow, this is cool! As someone who's supported the indys in Quebec City and Monteal for years, it's a DAMN good thing Jacques' promotion didn't get the deal. His product is no good, as it's overly-famiy-oriented spotfests with little storytelling (think the worst of the PG-era turned up to 11). Plus he's a dumbass spotlight-hogging, high-spending, business-exposing carny, fuck'em. His brother Ray and Rick Martel are 10 times the role models/spokesmen for the biz he could ever hope to be. summary: I don't like this Rougeau feller.
