[1992-10-29-RINGS] Akira Maeda vs Volk Han
I liked a lot about this match, but it seemed like it was never going to end. Maeda brings out a fun side of Han, and we get lots of great strikes mixed in with the cool matwork. But this was a 15 minute match stretched out to 30.

The poor sportsmanship of Hulk Hogan
Me too. It wasn't any better when Lawler did it.

What was WCW's "big show"?
There was nothing consistent about WCW, which was the whole reason, even during bad times, to keep watching.

What was WCW's "big show"?
Starrcade felt like a big show until they started overthinking it. 1989-1992 was theme overload and it killed the name. Even with occasional good shows after that, it was never the same. The answer is that they didn't have one. WCW changed leadership and direction 2-3 times a year -- if not more -- for most of their existence. Under Bischoff, they were more stable, but even he had exactly one angle that they planned out long term in advance. There's no real answer to this question.

The poor sportsmanship of Hulk Hogan
He beat up Sherri. Sherri is a woman. Beating up managers in general is fine. Concerning Andre, his immediate reaction was that if Andre ever wanted a title shot, all he had to do was ask. Well, that's exactly what he did. He got Bobby Heenan involved, but he confronted him face to face and simply asked him. Not to mention the trophies the week before. As Jesse Ventura pointed out, Hogan's trophy was made of REAL GOLD (It's true!), while Andre's was simply "rotten old lead".

This really cost $50,000? Not sure why Watts kept this guy around.

[1992-10-24-USWA-TV] The Moondogs and Jerry Lawler and Eddie Gilbert
The Moondogs are doing one of their typical crazy squashes with weapons when Eddie Gilbert runs out with Jarrett and Lawler to attack the Moondogs, as a response to Doug getting beaten up.

[1992-10-24-USWA-TV] Interview: Jerry Lawler & Jeff Jarrett
Lawler does all the talking while Todd Champion stands nearby. He recaps Doug Gilbert teaming with him and Jarrett when JYD no-showed the night before in Kennett, MO, and we get a few clips. They did a big injury angle with Gilbert.

[1992-10-24-USWA-TV] Brian Christopher vs Danny Davis
They both do a little trash talking before the match, and the stipulation is that the loser gets a dozen eggs smashed on his head. Christopher loses, and Davis decides to break the first egg himself, then let 11 fans break the remaining ones. I cracked up when he told one fan they couldn't use government cheese! Christopher is awesome during all of this.

Their colors are even red and yellow. Wow. The WWF really does feel like it suddenly became really cold post-Summerslam.
