NOAH Destiny 7/18/05
If you two would prefer to have it out in General Chat, you totally have my blessing. Here, I don't think it's in the right place in case someone comes along who has something specific to say about the NOAH show. I'm not asking anyone to stop, but can you take it somewhere outside of this thread? Thanks.

Phase #2, Match #5
Fantastics Another really, really close call, but the Fantastics could work with anyone, while the Freebirds did their best stuff against the Von Erichs. They had some other great stuff, but nothing quite as good as with the Von Erich boys. Run was awesome from 1982-1984, but Hayes in particular fizzled out in a big way when it was over.

Phase #2, Match #4
Fantastics Again, very very close, but the fact that the Fans worked in more areas and had great matches in all of them is the dealbreaker for me.

Phase #2, Match #3
Fantastics Far and away, the better tag team, both in the US and abroad.

Phase #2, Match #2
The Fantastics Incredibly tough call that I should put down and promise not to edit before I change my mind. Ricky Morton is the God of selling, but Tommy Rogers is a mortal on his level. Both are fabulous teams and I hate to vote against either one, but the Fans get the nod by a nose.

Phase #2, Match #1
The Fantastics I actually want to vote for the Midnight Express, and I probably would have had they jumped to AJPW in late 1990 intact, just because they could have had great matches with everyone there. That's the deal breaker for me, as all other things appear to be perfectly even.

Projected Summerslam card
I don't expect Hassan to get the belt, but I didn't expect JBL to get the belt either, and their pushes (Vince gets angry about public backlash to something he's had them do) are very similar, so you never know.

Projected Summerslam card
Well there goes THAT angle.

RAW 07/18/05
Crowd was still very much into him, but I don't think Edge doing that promo was the right move at all.

Earl Hebner Fired by WWE
I'm also confused about what type of merchandise Earl Hebner would sell.

What could have been
I always found it funny that Owen acted the exact same way toward Austin that Austin did toward Chono. Austin never called Chono to check on him by all accounts, and he gave him the exact same injury in a match they had in 1992. Anyway, yes, I do think the style would have been different ... for a while. I don't know how long it would have lasted though. The guy everyone on the roster seems to be trying to wrestle like these days is Shawn Michaels, and I think the current main event style is more a mirror of Hogan's working style than Austin's working style, with the babyfaces starting out strong with the heels looking like doofuses, only for the heel to gain the advantage through cheating and the face to make a big no-selling comeback. This is what all of Batista's PPV title defenses have been. You don't see much of the main event brawling anymore unless you're seeing a gimmick match.

This is the funniest thing I've heard all year.

I guess this is justice.

RAW 07/18/05
This was a really bad show. I was only watching for the Matt Hardy angle, and that was really brief anyway. Edge's promo was good, but it was too much of a typical wrestling promo to fit the storyline. Looks like Brian's thoughts about how he knew Matt had the goods to pull this off but worried about Edge and WWE have been on the money thus far.

RAW 07/18/05
Looks like Edge v Kane in a cage match is going to happen on this show, which means that we'll either get a really cool visual of Matt climbing the cage and diving onto Edge below or we'll get him "kidnapping" Lita, who'll be outside the cage. My guess anyway, we'll see how it goes.

WO News and Notes
I wouldn't be surprised to see HHH come back as a face to give him something to do for a while, only to lure in Cena and turn on him to build to their match later.

He's up there, but I might put Butch Reed ahead of him.
