[1999-11-13-KAW] Terry Golden promo
Terry Golden is such an unlikable guy, and I think he's supposed to be the top babyface. He just whines and whines and whines about how Bill Dundee has treated him through the years. He sneaks in a comment about KAW being the only Memphis promotion that doesn't have to rent their belts so they have something on their TV show. This is way too long.

[1999-11-13-OVW-TV] Scotty Sabre & Danica vs Sean Casey (Handicap Match)
More footage from Louisville Gardens. Last few minutes. Casey misses a moonsault. Cornette talks too loud and fast on commentary to be a straight man. Danica pins Casey. This stuff is decently booked, but it's not executed very well.

[1999-11-13-OVW-TV] Interview: Kenny Bolin
Jim Cornette reveals criminal records for Bull Buchanan. Kenny Bolin falsified his wrestling application and Cornette is out to get Buchanan's wrestling license revoked since he lied on his wrestling application. Rob Conway then reveals that he's the one who sent the records to Cornette, because he wants Bull's license revoked. It turns out he wants Bolin Services all to himself. Bull hits the ring and goes right after Conway, who gets the better of him and puts him in a torture rack before Bolin hits him with his briefcase. Kind of a weird babyface turn to see Conway do something underhanded and get beaten up for it.

[1999-11-12-ECW-TNN] Cyrus and Joel Gertner
Cyrus has an update from the creative department on the announcing steak. They're happy with Joey Styles, but Joel Gertner has to go because he gets himself over at the expense of the talent. Hard to argue with that. Plus, he got into a physical altercation with Taz at November To Remember. Announcers cannot fraternize with the talent. Joel Gertner is completely shocked and worried, even though Styles explains to him that there is no creative department or office.

[1999-11-11-WWF-Smackdown] The Rock & Kane & Test & Shane McMahon vs HHH & X-Pac & New Age Outlaws (Elimination)
Arnold Schwarzeneger is on commentary. Steve Austin is the “special enforcer”. X-Pac and Kane brawl out of sight right away and Test had his nose broken (legit) in an angle earlier in the night. So the bulk of this is Rock & Shane vs HHH & Outlaws. Shane being competitive in matches is awful but at least he gets his ass kicked while the announcers talk about how overmatched is. Shane gets pinned by Road Dogg, leaving Rock vs HHH & Outlaws. Right then, Test makes a big comeback with his nose bandaged up. This comes down to HHH vs Rock & Test, which is an odd dynamic for a heel. HHH nails the referee and Austin tries to hit HHH with a chair but accidentally hits Rock. Arnold slides Austin a chair to hit HHH, then Test pins him for the finish. HHH tries to throw a punch at Arnold and pays for it dearly. Fun stuff!

[1999-11-11-WWF-Smackdown] Funeral for Big Show's father
Here we go. Big Boss Man completely wrecks Big Show's father's funeral in a segment so over the top that it's actually hilarious. Then he chains the coffin to his car and drives away with Show holding on to the back of it the whole time! Like I said, if you're gonna go this route, commit to it.

[1999-11-09-BattlARTS] Yuki Ishikawa & Mohammed Yone vs Kazunari Murakami & Daisuke Ikeda
BattlARTS has been the king of tag matches this year! I'm pretty sure this is the first time I've ever seen Murakami work and wow is he a great mat wrestler. Yone looked really good here too. I liked him playing to the crowd. The Ishikawa-Ikeda stuff is also always reliable. Another great match in a long list of them for the year, with Murakami kinda wowing me and looking like a future star.

Dave Meltzer stuff
This is also not the first time something like this has happened, nor is it the first time a settlement was reached to keep the wrestler from saying anything publicly.

[1999-11-09-BattlARTS] Alexander Otsuka vs Mitsuhiro Matsunaga
Alexander Otsuka is a wrestler's wrestler, so he's a little taken off guard by Matsunaga channeling Abdullah the Butcher and repeatedly stabbing his forehead with a pencil. Otsuka fights back with highspots, but his effort is futile, and they end up making the ringside area look pretty mangled, with furniture scattered everywhere. This was a pretty incredible match in terms of heat and drama. Matsunaga was limited, but knew how to get the most out of his act, and Otsuka showed a new dimension.

Tech troubleshooting
Let's use this thread to post any problems you've had accessing the board and what you've done that has been successful in fixing those problems. I've gotten a few isolated reports of people getting the IPS Driver Error even though the board was up and running during that time, so I'm not sure what caused it. I know there's also the issue with the search engine not working properly for some people. I never have any issues. Anyway, if you've encountered something you were able to solve on your own, feel free to share those things here and this can become a thread of resources.

[1999-11-08-WWF-Raw] HHH vs Test
Last few minutes. Vince is at ringside. DX run in by Titantron and show that they have Stephanie tied up in their locker room, but we don't see her face. Vince and Test leave the ring to rescue her, and HHH wins by countout. The cliffhanger is "What has DX done to Stephanie?" Her heel turn can't come soon enough.

[1999-11-08-WWF-Raw] APA Bar Room Brawl
More on-location vignettes from the APA. They flirt with a guy's girlfriend, and the guy is clearly a trained wrestler given he has a ponytail. Some guys at their table called Faarooq and Bradshaw "fake wrestlers" and one thing leads to another. I'm a broken record, but I do think they should do more on-location stuff like this.

[1999-11-08-WWF-Raw] Lillian Garcia announcement / Big Bossman promo
Lillian Garcia announces that Big Show's father has passed away. People actually think it's serious. How disgusting. There are a few friends waving at the camera and laughing. Oh, wrestling. Big Boss Man comes out to interrupt the 10-bell salute and is upset that the grieving process started without him. He has a sympathy card to read. You know what, if you're going to do something in poor tastes, at least go all the way with it. I salute them for having the courage to follow it through at least.
