He looks great. The idea of billing him at 500 lbs seems silly at this point. And really, he's the ideal next opponent for Rusev if he's ready to return.

Does it matter when in the match it comes? I don't think there's anything wrong with working a finishing stretch that way where you're trying to get over the idea that it's anybody's ballgame.

Both swear there never was, that they were just doing their jobs. But who knows if they are telling the truth?

Here is one that I've caught myself saying a few times and now I'm not sure why, as I don't know that there's a clear meaning surrounding it. What does it mean when a match is "my turn/your turn" and why is this a bad thing? What would be the more desirable alternative?

I'm sure there are some people here that like modern NJPW. We should just hear from them more.

Good Will Wrestling: Fixing the WWE Part One
The problem with Alberto Del Rio is that I've never seen him get any type of crowd reaction that was consistent with his level of push. He's a good worker, but for whatever reason, I don't think the people have ever really bought him as a star. His matches always seem heatless, even if they are technically fine.

I agree with what was said about Miz by Dylan. I agree with turning Sheamus heel, but I also think his biggest problem is that he rarely gets promo time to explain what his motivations are. The company sees Sheamus at a certain level internally - supposedly - but he doesn't get TV time consistent with that.

I totally disagree on turning Cena heel. He only gets booed on TV while getting cheered on house shows, and the reason he gets booed on TV is because people want to be part of the show. Yes, there are people who genuinely hate him, but I agree with the WWE line that these are the people that are never going to stop watching no matter what, so why cater to them? A Cena heel turn has the potential to cost them tons of merchandise money and turn off children completely. I don't see the reward in it. Will, you said it wouldn't matter if Cena turned heel and was cheered. Why not? Isn't that the same problem in reverse, only now you've taken all the things about Cena that bring in a profit for WWE and taken those away. I think Cena should retire in his current role. What huge, dome-show sized matches are suddenly on the table because of a Cena heel turn? I say that not because I think there are any options like that for him now, but I don't see any benefit - at all - to turning Cena, other than it would make hardcore fans feel good, which is not what a heel turn is supposed to do. Still listening to the rest. EDIT: On second thought, I would support a Cena heel turn, but only if there were 2-3 new guys (or even one guy) who were every bit as over as him. I don't just mean in terms of getting cheered by a live audience either. I mean someone popular with women and children with tons of merchandise that people buy. They still haven't built up anyone else enough to where I think it's a viable option, especially when we don't know yet if Roman Reigns is going to work out. The time to turn Cena was when Rey and Jeff Hardy were around.

I'm not really following it, but considering how much talk of it there is everywhere, we should have a thread for people to post their thoughts. Have at it.

The Wyatt family loss at Battleground
I'm surprised that there is no actual storyline going on with Jericho and Bray. They are feuding, sure, but Jericho usually lays out stuff like with Punk, Shawn and Rey that has some type of storyline. I don't really see that here.

[1992-06-20-WCW-Beach Blast] Rick Rude vs Ricky Steamboat (30-Minute Ironman)
I just watched this again and I have to disagree with everyone on the number of falls. That's what made this match. They are getting over a new gimmick match and need to work in more falls (decisions is a better words, as not all of them are falls) to differentiate this from regular matches of the time.

Wade is right about the ECW nostalgia stuff. Look in the spoiler tag on Page 20.

The Wyatt family loss at Battleground
According to Dave, Vince changed the finish of Jericho-Bray on the day of the show. Dave suspects (but doesn't know) it's because he realized Bray winning at Summerslam and NOC would be more memorable, and that Jericho has to win at least one for the program to continue. So they chose this one.

When they get to the 90s, I wonder if they'll remember to include Friday Night's Main Event from USA.

I understand not liking it, and you're allowed to like or not like whatever you want for whatever reasons you want obviously, but, and I say this in as polite a way as possible, it comes across like you're trying to start a fight over it.

Comments that don't warrant a thread - Part 3
The problem with Over The Edge '98 is that the ideas were repeated too many times afterwards. As a one-off match, it was tremendous fun.
