One lackluster show that is done without the world champion, is paying tribute to someone who died and has a single night tournament isn't a huge deal in the big picture, but I'm really hoping they return to form next Monday.

Did I miss something? When are the semi-final and final matches of the tournament happening?

Barrett looks like a superstar in the making. The guy is as committed to his gimmick as anyone in WWE.

Another home run Adam Rose vignette!

It was on F4WOnline.com that it can't happen because they do the set designs months in advance and they can't accommodate two rings.

Cena's promo is mind boggling in how much it undercuts The Wyatts. I'm pretty sure it's the dumbest thing to air on WWE TV this year.

Sandow losing the robe and towel has made him look more generic. I also don't like how he has changed into a whining promo. Where's the elitist intellectual stuff? I think that was his ticket.

Ultimately, this show demonstrates more than anything how much Daniel Bryan adds to the show.

This RAW isn't bad, but it's a major comedown from the high of Mania and Raw last week. I'm up to Rusev and stuff like Lana getting "What?" chants while talking is annoying the fuck out of me. How can they send her out there to cut promos and not expect that reaction? If anything, it takes heat away from Rusev's match instead of adding to it, which is what is supposed to be the point. I LOVE Rusev's entrance music though.

I like Orton/Batista vs The Usos as an idea for a feud, but at any point are The Usos allowed to actually cut a promo or respond to the attack from last week?

God, the announcing in the Paige match was so awful for the first minute or two that it was distracting. It wasn't much better after that, as I don't think a single move was actually called. Pretty solid match. I liked that it was a struggle to lock in the submission.

I think it was simply a decision made in haste when emotions were high.
  13. Why do you hate me and wish to hold opinions for the sole purpose of getting under my skin?

He was referring to the mock tribute show they did after Vince's limo blew up and he was "presumed dead".

They said they would pay tribute. It will be more than that, but it sounds like less than for previous tribute shows.
  17. The funny thing is that there would be very little steroid/HGH use in wrestling if promoters based pushes on speaking skills, in-ring ability and capacity for connecting with a crowd only. Bombarding wrestlers with drug tests while only pushing guys who are huge is a pretty big mixed message.
  18. I don't know anything about Canadian law, but I suspect ganging up with the Nasty Boys to attack and taser an American police officer would result in some legal problems.
  19. It's too early to see if it will stick, but physique matters less than it has in quite some time. Yes, fans expect guys to look in shape, but I feel like the days of guys popping for the muscle guys are behind us. Of course, if internal decisions are still based on size, it doesn't matter if it plays a role in getting over or not. I agree that specifically HHH and Batista have physiques that are nearly impossible for guys in their mid-40s, but even they are both far slimmer than they used to be.
  20. You know what else exposes the business? Podcasts. I guess he makes himself feel better by talking in circles to avoid using the terms "babyface" and "heel".
  21. It was plagued by the same problem as all the occupation gimmicks -- when exactly do they perform their day job?
  22. Good match. Are they elevating The Usos too? This reminds me of 2000 when anyone who got a pop was getting a chance on top. The Shield save was really well done. This is a good main event scene.
  23. I really have to give Barrett credit for getting a gimmick over that seemed like a pretty terrible idea at first. It's also good to see him back in the ring. I also like how WWE is giving guys they are trying to push distinct things that no one else gets. In Cesaro's case, it's no entrance music. In Barrett's case, he's the only guy doing a pre-match mic spot now. Good stuff.
