Dave Meltzer stuff
Yeah, I was thinking a Daniel Bryan silhouette filled in with the word Yes in different fonts and sizes would also work. (I realize that could be hideous or look sorta cool, depending on which way they go.)

The Jim Cornette Experience
I realize Cornette is the one who opened the can of worms on this topic and I respect you putting your opinion out there, but we should probably refrain from discussing the merits of Cornette's religious and political opinions in this thread just to keep this conversation from going somewhere that has nothing to do with pro wrestling. Hope everyone understands.

Which WCW/ECW performer was most negatively effected by their companies closing?
If that's true, I hope it was by saying, "Hey Hunter! Haven't seen you since you were a cruiserweight in WCW!"

Puerto Rico Wrestling
There's no scientific formula. Everyone gets over for different reasons, and being different is usually why people get over.

Which WCW/ECW performer was most negatively effected by their companies closing?
Add in that he was even getting heat in WCW for acting like he had been somewhere and proven himself as a star. WWE thought that about every WCW import even if they didn't act that way, so him really acting that way would have created all sorts of problems.

He also showed that he might develop into a good worker at times, but never actually did. Their complaints about him would have been similar to those about Marc Mero, where they felt like all he knew how to do was work his pat match.

Dave Meltzer stuff
Funny how he credits Punk as a numbers mover now, when at the time all he did was criticize his lack of drawing power. And yeah, Henry was de-pushed for not working through injuries.

Current WWE
I can't recall the phrase "headlining Wrestlemania" being used in the past, unless it's started in recent years when I haven't paid attention. It's usually about getting a title shot. Either way, I won't go on about this, but I noticed they said that exact phrase and only that exact phrase over and over.

Commercial breaks during matches
Ricky Steamboat vs Brian Pillman on WCW Saturday Night on February 20, 1993 had the match end during the commercial break. True enough, they showed us what happened when we returned.

[1991-09-09-W*ING-2nd Take Off Tour] Headhunter A & Tom Prichard vs Headhunter B & Danny Davis
I just had to bump this to say that the match results on Cagematch.net say this was in Korakuen Hall, which is impossible if you see the setup. Or did they work in some smaller section of Korakuen Hall? I suspect that location is incorrect, but I'm tagging this with Korakuen until a different location is confirmed.

Current WWE
Since nothing the announcers in this company say is by accident, do you think there is a reason they are specifically saying that Batista is "headlining Wrestlemania" instead of "challenging for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at Wrestlemania"? No one expects him to be in the last match.

Commercial breaks during matches
Even doing it for just main events would keep main events special, if they felt they couldn't swing it for the entire show.

Comments that don't warrant a thread - Part 3
I've always wondered why Georgia seems to get so many lucha libre shows. Is there any specific reason? Is there a bigger Hispanic population in the state than I realize?
