I think they have definitely done some editing of the crowd. Not enough to be horribly obvious, but there seem to be some missing Daniel Bryan chants and slightly less loud booing. Edit: The CM Punk chant still showed up, maybe I'm wrong.

Royal Rumble 2015 Thread
Sitting here thinking about how they can salvage this mess.... Double turn Reigns and Lesnar (even though Brock is already getting cheered and Reigns is already getting booed) in the build to Mania with Heyman managing Reigns, and both of them sort of joining the authority, leaving Seth Rollins a forgotten man. Reigns conquers Lesnar at Wrestlemania much to the chagrin of everyone in attendance, then Seth Rollins cashes in and takes the title catapulting himself into being one of the biggest babyfaces in the company.

f4wonline (is that a credible thing?) is reporting that Justin Gabriel has quit WWE. I always thought he was a guy they could have done more with, and if this is true, hopefully he can reinvent himself on the indies.

I was there that night at the Rumble, and I truly believe the one thing they could have done, that would have at least got a laugh from the crowd and made us slightly less pissed off, would have been to pull Rey from the Rumble, and send out another guy.... "Pittsburgh, I know you were hoping for Daniel Bryan, but I'm afraid I've got some Bad News!" At least then, we would have known they at least heard us, and were intentionally fucking with us, instead of just ignoring the one thing the crowd wanted. Even if we were still angry, at least the heat would have somewhat gone on a heel and not Rey Mysterio. As for being upset that Batista was blown up........not in the least. We wanted Daniel Bryan, we may have accepted Reigns or Punk, but we wanted Daniel Bryan, and we hoped beyond hope they were going to do "what was right for business" and give us Daniel Bryan. But they went with Batista, and we all know how that ended. I said it then, and I will say it now. I have left arenas before where the fans were disappointed in a show, but that was the only time I ever walked out and the fans were downright hostile.

How do you watch the network
Roku 3 that has worked great 99% of the time. I also occasionally watch on my phone if things are super slow at work.

Modern Indie Wrestling
From what I understand of the ROH/PWG situation, only talent with certain contracts are unable to appear. Elgin, Cole, O'Reilly. and Fish are done. Cedric Alexander and Tommaso Ciampa will continue to appear. No one seems to know what the status of ACH is at this point. Jon Silver and Alex Reynolds of CZW will also be debuting in February for PWG, as well as "Speedball" Mike Bailey who will be taking on Biff Busick.

Cage is pretty good for a guy his size, and when he doesn't nearly kill himself doing it, throws one hell of an Asai Moonsault.

So now the rumor mill is suggesting that a Roman Reigns heel turn is in the works, in hopes that like The Rock, he gets over as a heel and is then able to become a mega babyface. Whether or not this is true, who knows, but if Lesnar is leaving, and it is true......Reigns as Heyman's new beast could make for some fun times.

I was just thinking that......94 Rumble finish with Reigns and Bryan going over at the same time. It will at the very least give them another two months to make up their minds.

Is TNA the worst wrestling promotion in history?
To finish the show: Taryn retains in the Women's battle royal, only for Havok to come back in and beat the shit out of her, which led to the return of Awesome Kong who confronted Havok, in what was definitely THE highlight of the whole show. Oh, and Robbie E and Brooke are going to have a feud based on the fact that they didn't win The Amazing Race......... Roode/Lashley was meh, and ended with MVP/Kenny King and two masked guys storming ringside. The masked guys turned out to be Samoa Joe and Low Ki, so Eric Young ran in with a chair to help his friend Bobby Roode, and of course turned on him, allowing Lashley to win the title. Why won't this company just fucking die?

Is TNA the worst wrestling promotion in history?
So, for some stupid reason I decided to tune into TNA's Destination America debut. The show began with the whole roster randomly brawling around the arena for no apparent reason. We then segued that into Kurt Angle making matches before being verbally assaulted by MVP. Angle then revealed that he had quit his office job but not before making one final match, a street fight between himself and MVP. Because a match between two over the hill WWE guys is totally the best way to introduce yourself to a potential new audience! We followed that up with an EC3 interview, and then The Wolves challenging James Storm and Abyss for the Tag Team Titles. James Storm is also now leading a group with Sanada and Manik, but is absolutely not trying to be like Raven or Bray Wyatt or anything..... This match of course ended when The Hardyz were trying to help the Wolves fight off Sanada and Manik, and Jeff accidentally elbowed Edwards in the face costing them the match. We then had a segment where EC3 and Brodus Clay were going to shave the head of Rockstar Spud, but Jeremy Borash stood up for Spud and slapped EC3, so they shaved the head of Borash instead..... That brought us to an X-Division match between Low Ki and Austin Aries. This was the best match of the show so far, and it wasn't very good. Aries won the title, I didn't care. This is a chore. Oh good, now we are having the women's title defended in a battle royal.......and we still have Bobby Roode vs Bobby Lashley to come...... Shoot me now.

WK9 live thoughts
Came across the JR/Striker version of this show online and decided to give it a try. I've tried in the past to get into Japanese wrestling, but apart from watching Terry Funk compete there and really getting into Hayabusa, other than catching the occasional match here and there, I have never been able to really get into it. I think it is the silence of the crowds, I know that probably sounds odd, but I grew up watching the super loud Crockett crowd, so it is very strange to me. Anyway.... IWGP Jr. Tag: There was nothing offensive here, and all of the guys worked really hard. I honestly thought I would like this more seeing I really like everyone involved (although I have not seen much Kushida) but for all the talk JR and Striker did about "Fast Paced Action" I honestly thought this could have used less time and more of a high paced PWG style finish. 6 man tag: Why the fuck is Jeff Jarrett on this show? I was tired of him in 1995, let alone 20 years later. Is Honma supposed to be like Japanese Eric Young? Fale doesn't seem very good. Yeah, I didn't care for this at all. 8 man tag: IIzuka seems like an interesting character, but he certainly didn't get a chance to do much here. Benjamin seems to be doing the same shtick he's been doing since he started. I liked Marafuji during his run in Ring of Honor 8 or 10 years ago, and he doesn't seem to have changed much. Holy Shit, Archer certainly learned to throw a nice looking choke slam. I was hoping to see more of Smith in this to see if he ever reached the potential everyone thought he had, but he didn't do much. TMDK seem like guys I would like to check out more of. Way too many people in way too short of a match. Suzuki/Sakuraba: This was fine for what it was, I really don't have a whole lot to say about it. Makabe/Ishii: Now this was fun. Two guys beating the hell out of each other. Psychology with the shoulder work, commentary making the title mean something. I wish the version I was watching didn't have a slight audio issue causing me to hear the shots before they connected, because they sounded nasty as hell, but that disconnect took away a bit and made it have less impact. Not the matches fault though, good stuff. Omega/Taguchi: Hmmm. I like Omega, but I didn't care for this. All of his stuff looked crisp, but I felt like this was much more about getting his character over than the actual match, and I felt like Taguchi who I have no previous experience with was just there, so I got no feel for him. Not good. IWGP Tag Title Match: This was fine. I can't say anything about it was overly exciting, but there was nothing bad. Gallows seems to be improving a bit working in Japan, so that is a good thing. The camera lingering on the girl was a bit strange, since she wasn't doing anything. Styles/Naito: This was pretty good. Styles has been on fire this year everywhere, and I actually watched a few of his pimped G1 matches which is my only recent NJPW exposure. They pimped the Styles Clash as a killer move, and the crowd reacted to it as such when he went for it right away, and then they built to it all match which was awesome. My only gripe is that Striker mentioned Naito using the Star Dust Press multiple times, and I don't think he ever even attempted it. Minor bitch, just seemed odd. Best match of the show so far. Ibushi/Nakamura: Nevermind, best match of the show so far! This started off a little slow, and I found Nakamura being goofy a bit off putting, but holy fuck did this pick up. I had some experience with Ibushi from his stint in the states a few years back, but he has definitely matured in his offense, and Nakamura was crisp as hell. This was super fun, and I may actually watch it again!! Unfortunately, I can't watch the main event yet, because the show was put up in segments, and the last segment is currently missing. If it goes back up, I will watch it and add my thoughts.

Current WWE
I think that is exactly the plan. Not sure of exactly how it will go down, but I think Rollins leaves the Rumble with the belt so he can lose to either Bryan or Reigns at Wrestlemania, and then Cena finally gets to defeat Lesnar to send him packing on "the grandest stage of them all"

How much is the PPV version of the show with the English commentary anyway?

Is it at all possible that Bryan really isn't ready to come back, and they did that angle just to garner heel heat on The Authority when they pull him out of the match, thus making Roman Reigns a super babyface when he steps up to fight them?

What about pairing Neville with Justin Gabriel. He can do flashy highspots, and everyone forgot he exists. Give them some matching tights, let them work the 'Dusts, it could be fun.

PPV/Shows you Unapologetically Love
After reading the thread title, I was going to come in here and post Starrcade '91! It was the first PPV I ever saw live, and I remember watching it with my best friend, just a few days after Christmas. It was also the first show I tracked down when I realized that the whole tape/dvd trading world existed, because I had spent years only owning the clipped commercial release, and although some of the matches drag and are lacking, getting to relive watching the whole show again was awesome, and for this reason, that show will always hold a special place in my heart.

I know I am asking this question about a company that seems to be oblivious to SO many things..... But they have to realize that if Daniel Bryan comes back before Wrestlemania, and they don't go with him, the crowd is going to shit on absolutely anything else they attempt to sell them......right?

Who is more Uso Crazy?
I will second the network special being really good. Although the only difference I can find, is that one seems to shave his goatee a little different than the other one.

I have to assume they will do the Andre battle royal again this year so that they can get all of the directionless guys on the Wrestlemania card.

WWE Network... It's Here
Interesting. We just got one of these the other day, and I tried using it last night and my picture paused about every 10 seconds using it. I ended up having to switch back to my Roku.
