AEW 3/1-3/3 - Open The Golden Gate
I feel like Strickland would absolutely be fine on his own. But if they insist on him having lackeys, aren't those Bear Country guys still on the roster? They are big and can at least kind of work.

AEW 3/1-3/3 - Open The Golden Gate
Riho and Emi Sakura had a pretty fun match on Rampage. The Dustin Rhodes/Keith Lee vs Shane Strickland/Parker Boudreaux main event was also pretty good.... despite Parker being an actively terrible wrestler, and him being absolutely dwarfed by both opponents killed any tough guy aura he may have projected.

AEW 3/1-3/3 - Open The Golden Gate
Glad that Kommander got to hit all of his batshit ridiculous spots in his introduction to a mainstream audience. Now we need to get Arez out of his MLW deal and bring him in for one of these spotfests. Probably the best choice for a winner as well.

AEW TV - 2/22 - 2/24 - America, fuck yeah
Say that again louder for the folks that didn't watch it. That match was fantastic.

I wish I had on my employer whatever Jay Lethal has on Tony Khan. I'd never fucking work again.

So MJF goes from being "ready to take a hand full of pills" to being jealous of Danielsons family to tormenting his children all in less than 5 minutes. This character has jumped the shark at this point and this guy obviously can't be trusted to come up with this own shit. Put the belt on Danielson and send him to WWE where they can reign this shit in.

That was a fire opener between Cassidy and Yuta. Definite shades of their Chikara training coming out in that one.

AEW TV - 15/2 - 17/2 - British date formatting in the thread title!!
I am not a fan of MJF and his weekly shooty, shooty, heel, heel promo's but the audible spit take from Taz when he mentioned "Five Star Bangers" was probably the highlight of the show this week.

The Iron Claw
I was actually thinking the same thing. If Manning has any involvement in this thing, he will probably insist on playing himself. I truly believe he thinks he was the biggest star in that territory not named Von Erich.

AEW TV - 2/1 - 2/3 - Never Mind The Bollocks, Here Is Danielson vs. Thatcher
If Cage were 6 inches taller, he'd be an 8 time WWE Champion by this point.

Royal Rumble 2023 aka 30 years of pointing at sign as Mania main event booking
This guy looks like Kid Rock fucked Weezer. I'm longing for the Pitch Black match right now.

Regarding the Pitch Black match... At least it was short?

Royal Rumble 2023 aka 30 years of pointing at sign as Mania main event booking
That definitely is going on my repeat Rumble watch list. Very well done from start to finish. I fear the rest of the show won't be able to hold up!

UWF Fury Cast
On this week's episode of the UWF Fury Cast, Gene and Bob take a fun look back at Episode #7 of the UWF Fury Hour! Herb circles back to the Col Debeers/Larry Sampson angle as we get the "long awaited rematch" between Debeers and Billy Jack Haynes where Billy Jack delivers a promo that would have gotten this whole thing thrown off the air if they tried to air it in today's society. Then from there, perhaps the WORST Capt Lou's Corner segment yet (if you can even imagine that), Dr Death is back from Japan, B. Brian Blair takes on the debuting Louie Spicolli, and a touching tribute video to a departing hero closes out the show that will bring a tear to glass eye. Seriously, if you don't get emotional during this video, you have no heart whatsoever! All of this and more, on Episode 7 of the Fury Cast, right here: https://youtu.be/NsiLjfJPMhw

AEW TV (1/11-1/13)
That was fucking horrific. I really hope she is okay. Everything I have seen of Willow gives me the impression she is a safe worker, so it just seems like a bad overshoot, but god damn.

Young Rock: A New NBC Sitcom About the Life of Dwayne Johnson
Last nights episode was riddled with timeline insanity. He called blue blood Triple H, The Game. He performed "The Rock Concert" while he was still in the Nation of Domination, and they created a wrestler that didn't exist. But my personal favorite part was when they showed the outside of one of the buildings for an episode of Raw, they showed the exterior of the WVU Colisseum in my hometown of Morgantown, West Virginia. Which has never hosted a Raw, or any WWE event, or any wrestling event ever! So they apparently just randomly picked some stock footage of a building that looked like it might have hosted a wrestling show or something.

WWE TV 01/09 - 01/15 Dollar Store Capitol Invasion
I had Smackdown on in the background last night and actually stopped to watch this segment, and Holy Shit, you ain't kidding. I know everyone likes to shit on Bray and House of Black. But Kross is way worse. The entrance is cheesy, he is a terrible talker, he at least used to look the part with his head shaved but now just looks like another MMA guy with terrible tattoos, his work is the shits, and if we are being honest, she really isn't that hot, which seems to be the main reason the whole act was over in the first place.

Is the empire crumbling before our eyes?
Tony Khan might be the one person who would actually release everything in the vault.

AEW TV 1/4 and 1/6 - The One Where Danielson Wrestles Nese
It's amazing how she went from a group of jobbers to a group led by a main eventer, and somehow is far less over than when she started.

Comments that don't warrant a thread - Part 4
are you saying that Vince was also behind the times in April of that year when he brought us Rad Radford?

AEW TV 1/4 and 1/6 - The One Where Danielson Wrestles Nese
Last night's Rampage and the Battle of the Belts show were both actually really good. Top Flight vs Mox/Danielson, Mike Bennett vs Darby, Jade vs Skye Blue, and Orange vs Sabian were all fun and worth watching. Kingston also showed back up and will be teaming with Ortiz against Black and King next Friday night.
