Absolutely agree with you about Chris Hero/Tommy End coming in. They would be a great bridge team, as they can work the Bucks style, the FTR style, whatever style the Lucha Bros feel like working. They could seriously gel with everyone. I would absolutely vouch for Buddy Murphy coming in. He started as a rather dry tag team guy on NXT, but when he totally changed his body, look, and style, he had some absolute bangers with Cedric Alexander and Mustafa Ali on 205 Live when no one was watching that show. He seems to have a good attitude and work ethic as well.

They almost have to be at this point. Nothing else makes any sense. I hope to see Black and Murphy in AEW. I think both of them would fit in well there.

Dear God, THIS! When it happened once in a blue moon, it was impactful and made you go "Holy Shit, he actually kicked out of (insert finisher name)!!!!" Now, they do that when a guy kicks out of a sunset flip, and it is has zero meaning at all. My other pet peeve probably make me a bad person, but I fucking hate the referee constantly checking on everyone that is so prevelant in the post-Benoit world of modern wrestling. It literally seems that the referee is down and checking on people after every single bump, and it just distracts from the illusion for me.

She is small enough to be a great underdog, but is a good enough worker to be totally believable, and she keeps getting better. I know someone said this last week, but if they keep having Ogogo beat up Billy Gunn and his kids, they are going to babyface him to a lot of us! A Blondes win would have been a feel good moment, but they would have felt like transitional champions, because they have no one to feud with. Bucks are tied up with Mox/Kingston. FTR and Santana/Ortiz are stuck in the Pinnacle/Inner Circle nonsense. Jungle Boy seems destined to break out on his own. Lucha Brothers aren't being used for shit. The Acclaimed just got beat. Best Friends are afterthoughts. Dark Order are afterthoughts. So, what would you do with them if they won?

The thing that really astounds me about the Cody promo/angle is attempting to pull off the "Fighting for America/Evil Foreigner" angle against a guy from the United Kingdom. At the very least if it were against a Japanese guy, or a "German" guy or a "Terrorist Country" guy they could get the lowest common demoninator fans to bite on that shit, but seriously, who is sitting around, shaking their fists going "Those damn Brits!"

Does anyone else think the sound was strange in that first match? The crowd seemed super mic'ed, and the in ring action was almost nil. (The chops were silent, no sound on bumps, etc.)

I want to say Unbelievable, but unfortunately it isn't. I work as a switchboard operator for the largest hospital in my state, and the sheer amount of people that are still shitty with me every single day over the Covid regulations that have been in place for a year now is just ridiculous. They just can't wrap their minds around why we don't want them bringing the whole extended family to visit their hypochondriac cousin who is here for the 3rd time this month. They still bitch that they have to wear masks, they still call it the Plandemic. But I live in a state that constantly comes in last, or 2nd to last in things like Education, Economy, and Healthcare. The educated people are leaving in droves. There is an opioid epidemic, the suicide rate is skyrocketing. A good portion of the state still clings to coal mining as the future of our economy as though coal is somehow going to become a renewable resource. I'll give you one guess a two who overwhelmingly won the state in the last two elections. So none of it comes as a surprise. To tie this back to Aries, and Ryback, and these fucking idiots. That's another part of the problem right there. I come from this redneck, white trash state, and these people already believe this stupid nonsense, and then when they see the "wrasslers" that they watch on the TV saying the same things, it just makes them believe it even more. So Fuck 'Em even more for using their platform and whatever modicum of fame they might still have to spread this insanity.

The problem is that helping others involves not thinking about yourself for more than thirty seconds, and most people are utterly incapable of that. A few years back my wife developed an immuno disorder, spent a week in the hospital, nearly died, and was then on immunosuppresants for the next two years to get into remission. Immune system totally shut down, high doses of steroids, hair falling out, constant fatigue and sickness, and still we had to constantly remind people, friends, family, etc.... if your sick, if you have even the fucking sniffles, you could kill her. That was with a loved one. So expecting these anti-masker, anti-vaxxer douchebags to give even the slightest shit about the rest of the population, sadly will never happen, until members of their own family start dropping dead from it, and maybe not even then.

I was a big Aries fan during the Generation Next days into his first RoH Title reign. He lost me after the Austin Starr run in TNA and the RoH return with the"Greatest Man That Ever Lived" stuff. Ki was fun in the early days of RoH, but his shtick wore off fairly quckly.

Apparently Jean Brassard has announced that he and Ray Rougeau are out as the French Commentary team due to "restructuring" because of Peacock.

I really hope they have Pac and Fenix take the tag titles next week, and then have Page take the World Title since they seem to be pushing that #1 contender thing with him. Then they can have Omega and the Bucks do their Lovers Quarrel angle without holding up all the titles. I really hope they get Moxley and Kingston away from this shit ASAP. The Acclaimed are really terrible. Very much enjoyed the Darby/Drake match, and Drake actually strikes me as a guy they could do something with since he looks totally different from everyone else in an old school Dick Murdoch kinda way and seems to be a decent enough hand. The Inner Circle/Pinnacle/Tyson stuff was fun, and the War Games match should be good. If they could have Tyson handcuffed to Tully or something, that could make for some fun TV.

They really made sure to get the WWE Speak into the show this year. I think every single person (except Molly Holly) mentioned the WWE Universe in their speech at least once, and the term "Sports Entertainment Industry" may be my least favorite thing ever. I also had to laugh at Hogan saying it was the "WWE fans" that made the nWo what it was. This company never fails to amaze with it's bullshit.
