PWO 1988 - 1992 Draft Discussion
The first rounds I picked my favorite of who was available that I could think of, then when I realized I needed a babyface in Round 5 and grabbed Kerry Von Erich, my strategy turned toward building a show. I moved things down to Dallas, and decided that I would put together another Parade of Champions. After that I made my list of people I wanted, and built a potential card. Changes have been made as guys I wanted got drafted, but the basics of what I want to do are still in place. Now we just have to see how the rest of the draft plays out!!

It was a direct consequence. With the Lightning Express no longer available, The Bee's became the only face team I could come up with that fit my plan.

I have some questions about the keepers. (Never been in a fantasy league with keepers. So let's say you don't have 5 guys worth keeping at the end of this. They've either retired, died, or massively gone downhill. Let's say you only want to keep 2 guys. Can you just keep 2, or do you have to find 5 to keep? If you don't have to keep 5, where do your compensatory picks fall? I ask this because a lot of the keepers will probably become guys like Rockers Shawn Michaels, who blossoms into a potential first round pick in the 93-97 time frame. Which is great for the guys who picked people like him, but if you were someone who wasn't lucky enough to get a pick like that, and your compensatory picks don't come until the end of the regular draft, you are pretty much getting screwed for having chosen a roster with older guys, people who died or had other issues, or just having been unlucky with draft order.

That's a dangerous sentiment. I know it is, but if they go, at least before I plan to take them, I would be shocked.

I absolutely don't blame you. I just have a late round heel tag team I am planning to take (that I am almost certain no one else will be considering) and I need opponents for them!

Shit. Brad Armstrong going scratches my hopes for snagging the Lightning Express off the board in a late round. Babyface tag teams are hard to come by.

I've spent the last 2 hours at work plotting out the rest of my draft. Using Wikipedia for ideas and years, making sure no one had been taken. I had just finished compiling a list of picks, with alternates and numbered them in the order I would take them, and I was very proud of myself.... then LowBlow immediately snatches the guy I had at #1.......
