Success Of The WWE Wellness Policy
It's worth noting that WWE no longer bans Therapeutic Use Exceptions for testosterone or other substances.

Wrestlemania 30 Traditional PPV Buys
Fan education really shouldn't be an issue by next year's WrestleMania. I think an argument could be made that they made a mistake by rolling the Network out so close to WrestleMania. After Royal Rumble might have been better, but I guess they weren't ready by then.

Wrestlemania 30 Traditional PPV Buys
I'm not sure I quite buy the spin. Some people double dipped as they didn't have confidence that the WWE Network would be able to air WrestleMania 30 without a hitch. Some of those people may not have high speed broadband or are only interested in watching one pay-per-view a year. Also, it's very early to have accurate pay-per-view buy estimates, so the number could end up being on the high side. To hit a million subscribers, you'd need to convince 80-85% of those WrestleMania PPV viewers to pick up the Network. Unless they have a huge SummerSlam special attraction match, I can't see them hitting the mark until next year.

Triple H just announced that the Ultimate Warrior passed away
- Success Of The WWE Wellness Policy
How successful the WWE Wellness Policy is will be determined by the mortality of the current generation of WWE stars. Obviously things are much better than they were, but whether that is good enough remains to be seen.- Dave Meltzer stuff
Meltzer on Nancy Grace:- Triple H just announced that the Ultimate Warrior passed away
To be fair, Warrior said a lot of cruel things about many people that he never publicly apologised for. I don't think it's right to unmercifully bury a guy when he's just died like Deadspin did, but equally we shouldn't put him on a pedestal and airbrush his history too. In Bret's case, it's probably the right note to make.- Dave Meltzer stuff
He mentioned on his podcast that Warrior could be strange like that. Do a non-contentious interview for someone and then threaten to sue them if they posted it.- Triple H just announced that the Ultimate Warrior passed away
I don't think you can blame Vince for everything, given that Jerry Jarrett, Bill Watts and Fritz Von Erich gave Warrior jobs before Vince did despite being really green and he was New Japan's first choice to be Big Van Vader.- Triple H just announced that the Ultimate Warrior passed away
That's the first thing I thought. The strangest thing for me was when I was at the bar watching WrestleMania someone shouted out "Why don't you drop dead you f***ing c***" during Warrior's big entrance on the show.- The Undertaker: Now what?
I thought he was going for a Gronda look. Regarding not billing it as Undertaker's retirement match, maybe WWE were hedging their bets. If Undertaker feels he can go next year, there's a built in rematch. If not, there's no pressure on him to come back and do the time honoured tradition on the way out, because he's already done the passing of the torch.- WWE Network... It's Here
Today's WWE press release announced 667,287 subscribers, much lower than many predicted and on the low end of respectable.- Dave Meltzer stuff
The main criticism was that Robinson could be a bully and uncooperative in the ring, especially against wrestlers who weren't legitimate shooters.- The Wade Keller Appreciation Thread
It's also nice to see Sean Waltman stick up for Wade, just a few months after Hunter threw him under a bus to Grantland.- How profitabe was ECW?
- Is TNA the worst wrestling promotion in history?
Would it really be possible to shame her into quitting? She seems happy to play the incompetent buffoon heel owner, which isn't a flattering role.- Is TNA the worst wrestling promotion in history?
To be fair to Janice and Bob, I wouldn't want her anywhere near their main business.- WWE Hall of Fame 2014
Jim Cornette would be a fourth choice.- Current WWE
Wasn't it WWE lawyer Jerry McDevitt who argued that in professional wrestling storylines, if you say something isn't going to happen it means that it will?- Punk Walks Out of WWE
No Punk tonight, I guess the opening was to tease it so the crowd wouldn't turn on the whole show.- Punk Walks Out of WWE
I was half expecting Paul Heyman to bring Ricky Ortiz out.- Johnny B Badd / Marc Mero... Time to Revisit his Career
I think he didn't have a ring style that meshed well with Mick Foley's, who was his most outspoken detractor. Also, it can be very hard to shake off a bad rep as a worker and when he debuted in 1991 as Johnny B Badd he was still very green.- Comments that don't warrant a thread - Part 3
I think it's the same reason why they didn't turn a lot of over babyfaces at the time (and few top babyfaces wanted to turn heel). Merchandise sales.- Chris, Nancy, & Daniel Benoit found dead
No-one is stopping UFC from doing their own in-house enhanced randomised drug testing, but they don't want to pay for it. They like the status quo where they can brag about their athletes being tested by the Government, while placing the heat on the ACs for anything that goes wrong.- The Wade Keller Appreciation Thread
The F4W Board and the Torch board were like night and day from my limited experiences, because Wade always had a strict policy of moderation in place unlike F4W. It's one of the things Wade clearly did much better than Dave, cultivating a community on his board and engaging with them in a cordial, friendly manner. - Success Of The WWE Wellness Policy
