In light of the Zuffa suit against Bellator, I did a big TNA/Jay Hassman info dump post at Cageside Seats. One interesting thing I dug up was that Hassman had worked for Cablevision in the past, the same Cablevision that he lied about getting TNA cleared on. I don't remember seeing that coming up in the past. I also included a bunch about his more recent criminal charges.

RAW tonight
I dunno, but Lawler's pretty clearly had better work at this point since Flair has Frankenstein scars,

C'mon, Lawler looks much better than Flair did at 50 aside from the hair.

Ridiculous quotes from WO.com columnists
Latest Babinsack might actually be his worst yet, as he further works in his politics (including a possible gay sex is as bad as bestiality reference, general homophobia, and FUCK U IF U HATE AMURICA stuff), is frustrated by MOCKERY OF PRO WRESTLING!!!!!!1111, and takes another shot at Greg Oliver and myself. Everyone hates it when you get precariously close to 20 words.

Eerie, no? Why would she even bring that up?

Steamboat DVD
That I liked. Brock being a jerk and running out the clock was a good way to structure it but he didn't have enough shtick to make it work well, IMO.

Steamboat DVD
Brock-Angle sucked a dick. It's probably the least of the WWE iron man matches on tape (I wish there was footage of Rockers-Rougeaus and Strike Force-Islanders). Bad brawling + bad stalling for 60 minutes = Blech.

Households = networks. There *are* household ratings released for cable shows but they're not used much as far as I know (except for comparison to network ratings). Coverage area ratings are what are always given for cable wrestling shows, which is why you sometimes hear about the WWF MTV specials getting ratings that dwarf any other wrestling shows ever shown on cable. If Bryan's numbers for USA's reach are correct, then he's absolutely right.

The Wade Keller Appreciation Thread
I may be remembering some of the specifics wrong, but Rob has always admitted he gave out the login, and Bryan said that was why he was banned. (It may have also been a free login as part of being a Dr. Keith Show co-host-ish person).

Didn't he ban Naylor? For giving his login to people who he interviewed so they could listen (which he figured was kosher because of the reasoning).

Are you thinking of Francine? I remember her getting the "stick girl" jokes.

She certainly had a pretty typical "Diva" body in WWE so it's not a shock.

Dave Meltzer stuff
Once you told the Georgie story I had a feeling that's what it probably was, especially since it came from people who were good friends of hers that didn't like Dave.
-
Dave Meltzer stuff
Was Georgianne doing a hotline segment or did Dave just give her the backdoor number? I remember hearing stories of Dave giving the number out to a bunch of people for whatever reason. A related weird thing that happened during that period was someone on of the local NYC area "hotlines" giving out the toll free backdoor for the (at that point already several years old, no longer advertised anywhere, and presumably not functional in terms of giving out prizes at best) Bruno/Albano/Coach Kurt trivia line.

It has nothing to do with ripping Bryan or Dave and more with really really bad personal attacks being taken lightly by Dave and Bryan.

He's pretty much refused to ever ban anyone from the board.

You're not wrong, but I think their point was more along the lines of how it's bothersome that they seem like they're afraid of alienating the "4chan of wrestling" types and are being influenced by them in their own behavior.

Dave Meltzer stuff
While we're on the topic... When was the hotline dropped, around the time of WO.com's launch? Was business dropping noticeably or was it just a matter of times clearly changing? Any idea how much of a problem it had with people disputing the phone bill?
-
Dave Meltzer stuff
I thought Herd's hotline was a separate one and either turned into/served as the unofficial predecessor for the WON hotline.

Also, when Dave and Bryan are letting people call Dave Scherer a pedophile on their board...
