For Loss: CHARLES AND LIDO!
- Return of the Loser Leaves Town Podcast: 10/29/08 with ROB NAYLOR on Samoans
http://www.loserleavestown.net/?p=24 After a fricking year, the show is back in style as Rob Naylor joins me to discuss wrestlers from Samoa and other Pacific Islands for over TWO HOURS! Yes. Consider it two shows or something. Naylor thought two hours or less would be too short for a topic like this. The usual fun with Naylor includes the two of us doing a reading of a legendary Jimmy Snuka promo, why Tama was so awesome, Samoan farmers, and the usual tangents that stray far from the topic. Plus, a brief special bonus where my upstairs neighbors make lots of noise and people yell at them (really)! A good show full of wacky Naylor fun.- Gabe Sapolsky leaves ROH

I would guess that Edge was involved in selecting the matches and asked for the inclusion of the Hennig match because it meant so much to him.- Spam

You're forgetting Christian's over to top rope without touching it bump off the ladder to the floor that he took in every ladder/TLC match that he was in. Plus, Edge has taken stuff like Eddy Guerrero's sunset flip powerbomb off the ladder.- 20 Years Ago - WON 06/27/88
IIRC, Eric Embry and Koko Ware both broke their wrists taking the scaffold bump, Embry's being from the ridiculously high WCCW scaffold. The famous scaffold matches almost all had smaller guys taking the bump (Ware, Mantell, Jarrett, Greene, Dundee, Eaton, Condrey, Lane, Cornette, Rich, Embry; only "bigger' guy I can think of is Idol and it's not like he was Warlord or Barbarian's size) so it was definitely new territory for them to take the bump.- 1983 Dave Meltzer on Lawler-Kaufman from the '82 WON Yearbook

Someone please drop this quote on his head the next time he whines about being fired twice by Vince McMahon. Or better yet, someone send him JJ Dillon's autobiography that details how Vince McMahon encouraged JJ to stop renting a home in Conneticut, helped him get an expensive mortgage that he wouldn't have been able to obtain on his own and how a few years later Vince cut his pay by 40%, causing him to eventually have to declare bankruptcy. Don't forget that Vince cut J.J.'s pay because he was a "wrestling person." After the steroid trial, instead of a lower percentage cut of everyone's pay in the office, Vince only cut the pay of the people with wrestling backgrounds - by the aforementioned 40%. Al Hayes quit on the spot.- 20 Years Ago - WON 06/20/88

Not true. Cornette has said that he had picked Tom Prichard (working in Continental at the time, IIRC) for the spot, but Crockett wanted to bring Lane up from Florida (after having either bought the territory or just working out a talent sharing agreement depending on who you ask) and decided that he'd be a good replacement.- 20 Years Ago - WON 05/23/88
