New proposal for wrestling commission in Georgia
Well, I'm curious how much Ichter is involved with the new rules. He's been completely mum about those, only talking about (rightfully) eliminating the ridiculous exemption that WWE has.

New proposal for wrestling commission in Georgia
In theory there's a conflict, but he's not initiating any action that directly benefits him or his clients. Well, other than baiting Jerry McDevitt, which he'd be doing anyway.

New proposal for wrestling commission in Georgia
It's nothing like that, he just had to prove that WCW was discriminating against minority performers, which they were. The racist jokes (including the infamous "Chinese menu" email that was leaked online) and pay discrepancies made the case a slam dunk regardless of the fact that Onoo and Harrison were lousy talents.

Benoit brain examination findings to be released tomorrow
Well that was first thing I thought of when the WWE made that statement. but haven't heard anyone else raise it. Not Muchnick, not Meltzer...you'd think it would be obvious. You'd think that more likely han not the ref who was concussed in same incident might have actual medical records available..whatever. But haven't seen anyone really raise that incident in anything yet. It should be raised and maybe might be worth sending a note to Meltz, Ichter or Muchnick asking about it. But haven't seen really any mentions of it. Did I miss an Observer passage? I emailed Dave about it yesterday. I suspect that there will be something about it in the next WON.

Benoit brain examination findings to be released tomorrow
In WCW, ECW, or NJPW, I'm pretty sure that he didn't take a chair shot that knocked him out for several minutes, then, when he regained consciousness, left him unable to stand for several minutes, while the company didn't have him checked for a concussion. Even with all of the concussions that could be hidden, it seems like there's a smoking gun in the fact that WWE claims to have records of no concussions when the above happened on their watch after the bizarre incident where HHH knocked out Benoit & a referee.

Script for 1/3/08 TNA Impact leaks
I like that there are at least 3 exchanges during the show where one person says something and the other person replies by repeating the last statement as a question.

Benoit brain examination findings to be released tomorrow
It wouldn't shock me if the HHH chair incident becomes a major issue, since Benoit was knocked out for several minutes and then after waking up, couldn't stand up for several minutes, yet WWE claims to have no records of him sustaining any concussions.

Yakusa stories
Off the top of my head: - Dynamite Kid (I think) witnessing a Yakuza member slap the hell out of Inoki, amazed how Inoki just stood there and took it. - Someone explains to Buddy Landell why the Yakuza member with them is missing fingers: one is cut off each time you mess up. Since he had a few missing, Buddy exclaimed "Wow, you must be a pretty big fuck-up, then." - Bret Hart is out drinking with Rusher Kimura. A Yakuza member ordered them shots that cost $400 each and had a strange white stem floating in the glass. Bret knew he had to drink it so as not to show disrespect, and downs it. Rusher then slaps him on the back and yells "Turtle penis! Good for fuckie fuckie!" Bret had to wear sweatpants for a week.

New proposal for wrestling commission in Georgia
The jurisdictional issue, if it has some actual merit, is a really brilliant way of fighting this while avoiding discussion of the actual problems. Behrens is pretty awesomely carny.

Jericho's return ...
It's funny, but it would be more funny if he was wrong.

Oh Kennedy
TSM of all places brings the best riff on Kennedy's catchphrases that I've seen by far. I legitimately chortled at this: http://forums.thesmartmarks.com/index.php?...t&p=2589970

Drawing/star power. By the way, doesn't this mean that by Dave's criteria, he shouldn't be covering MMA in the WON anymore?

FYI, fighters are no longer eligible for WOTY due to the death of Pride. Most Valuable Fighter and Most Outstanding Fighter have been added.

WON awards front-runners for the first half of the year
Well, that is true, it's early and I didn't read close enough to realize he wasn't dragging out the "they were all watching Larry King theory" I guess.

Larry King did a terrible number that night which kinda kills that theory,
