WWE suspends TEN wrestlers
In McDevitt's letter to the Waxman committee, he claimed that the policy and Eddy Guerrero's autopsy report were among the attached documents. The letter to the Rush committee (where Stearns, who claimed to have received testing records but not the actual policy or anything to help them make sense of the records) was not nearly as specific, so it's possible that for whatever reason, they sent the testing policy & Guerrero autopsy report (which they presumably got a copy of before it was sealed) to Waxman's committee, but not Rush's.

Congress requests WWE drug testing records
By the way, since it didn't get brought up here that I recall, Cliff Stearns has noted to the press that WWE sent the testing records to Congress w/o including the actual policy.

Benoit brain examination findings to be released tomorrow
Funny that you mention the macho mindset, as Chris Nowinski was on TSN's Off The Record, and defended the WWE's response that they had no knowledge of Benoit having concussions. Nowinski's response was that the WWE, much like other sports organizations, don't have actual doctors on hand for that type of analysis, and instead just have emergency doctors who'll send you to a hospital ASAP whenever necessary, which is where you may receive the prognosis of a concussion. It's then up to the performer to report to his organization about his condition, should he choose to. He actually said that they DO have doctors, but they should specifically have neurologists.

Benoit brain examination findings to be released tomorrow
I totally forgot that was tonight. Why is it my job and why is it some sort of shot to say it is? This is not a high-traffic board, if something of note happens and isn't posted yet, I post it. It's not like I posted a transcripts of Ken Wayne and Johnnie Stewart's media appearances.

WON awards front-runners for the first half of the year
Since when? The start of the current USA deal. I don't think they ever got ad money from UPN, but they definitely don't from the CW.

The WON HOF 2007 thread
Clips set to music from Lord of the Ring tournament for the $10,000 Lord of the Ring ring. Looked incredible, but it most likely doesn't exist complete unless the Score deal had started already and it was the Score Match of the Week.

Yes, and it's a must-read.

The WON HOF 2007 thread
Anyway, Dundee had a much wider variety of offense than you'd expect, including various top rope moves. Lawler, too, who I just saw execute a perfect top rope swandive headbutt in an '88 match with Dundee (good thing he didn't do that one more often).

Unforgiven
That's what happens when you have Jericho & Angle working to undermine you instead of putting you over.

The WON HOF 2007 thread
I'll leave this to Phil or Bix, but please tell me you're not going to dismiss Bill Dundee because of MOVES~!? I believe he is. Bill Dundee didn't do moonsaults like a good wrestler would. Phil would be better to reply here, because he was once trolled by Frank Jewett into counting suplexes while watching the '85 Lawler-Dundee LLT match.

The WON HOF 2007 thread
Dundee vs Gilbert from 5/9/88 (I think, it aired a week or two later as Score match of the week) is a good starter for a non-Lawler Dundee match. I'd have to think who else he has extended matches with on tape. His USWA Texas stuff might be a good place to look, as there's an excellent Dundee/Embry vs Young/Travis (I think it was Travis...) match from December '89.

Has anyone ever suggested before that it was brought on by trauma? Also, I've never heard of the hearing story.

Well, he got blackballed for getting arrested for smoking weed. It's one of those taboos that's only bad if you get caught publicly, like Pride & the Yakuza.

This is what the tease for this week's WON is about, I guess... It will be interesting to see who takes them up on it.
