Proper place to plug my podcast?
Since the tape shill boards are locked should I just put them in a main wrestling forum? Thanks.

Matches From 2007
Watched some of the Rumble PPV... While the WWE title match was quite good (maybe not as good as hyped but still excellent) and the Rumble match was fun and a big improvement over last year's, I was most impressed by the opener. While it's not necessarily something epic enough that it should/will get MOTY consideration 10-11 months from now, it was really an excellent match. It was reminiscent of a MX-R&R match where everything would hit on all cylinders plus they'd break out a bunch of creative spots and twists on the tag team formula. I loved the work on Hardy's jaw, and the creative stuff I mentioned was fun without being cutesy or overly contrived. Of note: - The Hardys trying their legdrop/splash combo, only for Nitro to get his knees up and knock the wind out of Jeff while still eating the legdrop and setting up a double KO. - Nitro countering Poetry In Motion by diving low and Oklahoma Rolling Matt. - Matt hitting the Twist Of Fate on Nitro to set him up for Jeff's Swanton, only for Mercury to tackle him out of the ring before he can tag out. Jeff tags himself in mid-tackle and hits the Swanton anyway for the pin. Well worth going out of your way to see.

I learned that Greg Gagne is now Hulk Hogan's fictionalized Terry Funk at the loading docks. Or something.

Ed Herman's armbar was absolutely gorgeous.- Wrestling Observer MOTY Collection 1980 - 2005
The reviews don't 'miss the point'. There shouldn't be 'a point'. People should watch matches and get what they get out of them, not get something they're supposed to get. There IS supposed to be a point: Wrestlers do X at Y point in the match to get Z reaction.- Capt. Lou question
Hey, I have this handheld. I need to see if this match is on there...- Matches from 2005

Did you catch the Benoit-Chavo No DQ match on Smackdown last week? I thought it was easily the best match they've had together and made use of the stips really well.- Really good WON this week
I was pleasantly surprised that Juan Manuel Mar came in 2nd for best booker without any pimping from Dave.- Really good WON this week
The best part of the WWE HOF feature might be Dave ranting about Howard Finkel not being an announcer anymore because he lacks sex appeal compared to Tony Chimel. The running Von Erich jokes tying everything together were great, too.- Really good WON this week
Lots of award analysis + Dave losing his mind while possibly drunk and writing a hilarious analysis of the WWE HOF candidates + being 26(!) pages = quality.- TNA news from the Observer
TNA is so much fun as self-parody that I pray the shoot X division happens. - UFC Fight Night 1/25/07
