WWE quirks, linguistic and otherwise
Or trainer Chuck Tashe! Do they ever name the medical stuff on TV? I think I've heard Michael Samson's name but not Chris Amann.

The difference is we didn't have the faith in them actually carrying it out. What's this "we", white man? You have blind faith in all they do. We is the 98% of people who agreed with me. Specifically I'm referring to the two match plan where he beats HHH to get the shot.

Punk Walks Out of WWE
Fair enough, didn't know that. How come RVD, Rhyno and others got to keep their names? They had the names before ECW. And Punk only signed his name over the same way people who use their real names do, temp assignments for merch. At least AFAIK.

That was a fantasic angle but I'd like to brag that I called it WEEKS before everyone else on the Internet: http://bit.ly/1h8sOwU

Punk Walks Out of WWE
That's from the ECW assets, not signing the Dudley's.

Comments that don't warrant a thread - Part 3
Marcus Bagwell: Now making a living as a prostitute. CM Punk: Made enough money to walk away from WWE at 35. I think I'd rather be too small.

Dave Meltzer stuff
Sorry -- I just realized I messed up my response several weeks ago. Meant to say John Arrezi (sp?) was the guy that used to organize those fan trips from Phily to Memphis. Joel Goodhart did the Philly to Memphis trips. Arezzi did the early NYC to ECW trips.

WWE TV Rights Deal
I'm trying to figure out if it would be good or bad for me personally.

WWE TV Rights Deal
WWE's self imposed deadline for picking a deal was this past week, so presumably the next month or two is finalizing a deal that they already picked.

The Steve Austin Show
I hate it and go out of my way to not use it as much as possible.

WWE Network... It's Here
I asked Ross Hart when I interviewed him, and the answer is no, unfortunately. With their shoestring budget, they didn't edit. They just turned on the camera when the match picked up.The exception is the TSN shows from '87-the end, plus the rare match they aired in full of course, like the Stomper turn. I was always under the impression all of it was clipped from what I read by Ross on the KM board. So that's pretty cool if they have the late 80's stuff in full. TSN aired full matches in a 90 minute slot starting with Summer '87 stuff on a 3 month delay.

help me make a wwe network playlist for a casual friend
For Muta, you can add the Sting match from Bash '89, which is pretty awesome. I like Gary Hart's description of it being like 2 superheroes flying around. Sting-Luger from Starrcade '89 is super underrated, a really good match with Sting at his most athletic right before the knee injury.

WWE Network... It's Here
I'm not sure what you did, but you broke the formatting of the board and made every post on this page italicized. Do I wish there was more TV? Yes, but it's a great start and even being able to pull up the PPV matches so easily while I'm talking to someone is pretty fantastic. Don't underestimate the appeal of a nice interface and broadcast quality video.

No native support. If you want a cheap WWE Network device, the Roku LT is the best option.

Punk Walks Out of WWE
Maybe you just go with some kind of four way? Punk gets his main event. Bryan gets the title and some kind of symbolism with Punk. Maybe even try to do a replacement Benoit/Eddy moment with Punk strapping the belt around his waist or something?

NXT - ARRIVAL
Paul Levesque addressed this on the conference call he did this week: Anyone they put on the NXT TV show is considered more or less ready to be called up. I wonder what would happen if Paul Levesque and Wayne Keown did a conference call together? Wayne Keown is not a WWE executive.

My understanding is about 5 megabits per second for the highest quality stream.

Great Sasuke!
Is Sheldon Goldberg's article about his dealings with Sasuke still online anywhere? The whole midlife crisis where he went on the gas and started taking the stupidest bumps in wrestling history was...interesting. "Let me put a barrel over my head and torso and dive head first at things."
