Most boring wrestler of all time?
FFS, it's been like 10 years now.

WWE Network finally happening
I don't see why it would require a PS3 update. If I had to guess, it'll probably show up in the video channel store app overnight after Elimination Chamber.

The Daniel Bryan Push Thread
Norm MacDonald. Beat me to it.

WWE TV Rights Deal
That article doesn't say anything new. WWE was always going to let the exclusive window close without a deal.

I left messages with both WWE and Dish. If I hear anything, you'll know.

Understanding wrestling terms
Yes and yes.

Dave Meltzer stuff
Weren't they called "workrate" because they went over the rate of which segments worked? (Hence "what worked/what didn't work)

Dave Meltzer stuff
Of course it was. It wasn't a list of biggest stars. It was a list of guys generally considered great workers. Yes, and as clearly stated before workrate is not a synonym for work. Yes, workrate is a literal term, talking about speed and physical effort. Eventually it became conflated with "work" because Scott Keith/his disciples and to a lesser extent Dave pushing guys with the best workrate as the best workers.

What is bad wrestling?
Traditional pro wrestling style highspots can still be anything. I'm still not quite sure what you're saying.

WWE Hall of Fame 2014
No way it's AJ for obvious reasons. Feel a little weird about Hall probably going in this year since comes off as doing it while they can trust both him and Jake are sober. It's understandable, but it feels kind of morbid.

BOARD UPGRADE - REPORT ANY PROBLEMS
"Go to first unread post" isn't working for me - either through the View New Content button (which is awesome - i typically use this to read the site) or by going into the forum and clicking on that button right outside the thread. Yeah I had the same problem too.It hasn't ported old read statuses for me but still works after I've viewed a thread for the first time post-upgrade.

Understanding wrestling terms
Since this is affecting other threads: "Workrate" and "working" are not the same thing. "Highspots" are not inherently unrealistic or high flying spots. And while nobody's used it here lately, there is no such thing as "babyface heat."

WWE Network finally happening
The first week is a free trial and will include a live special (NXT).

What is bad wrestling?
Like Loss, I'll wait for a full explanation before I can really respond more, but regardless, that's not what "highspot" means. A highspot doesn't have to be fantastical/unrealistic. It's about the timing and how it's positioned relative the the rest of the match. Plenty of "legitimate" moves can be highspots. One of the best highspots of one of the best matches of 2013 was the reenactment of the finish of the first GSP-Matt Hughes fight during Punk-Lesnar.

WWE Hall of Fame 2014
Well they worked together every day for another 18 months after that, and as far as can be ascertained they are still on friendly terms, so I doubt it would really be an issue. Yeah, remember, they had already broken up by the time they became an on-screen couple. Having said that, it should be Trish Stratus. I mentioned this in a BR article this week, but remember: They feuded or teamed off and on for pretty much their entire WWE careers. Their first big PPV match was against each other (Fully Loaded intergender trios match in 2000), they were partners for the "She's All That" knockoff story and the tag against Christian and Jericho, they main evented Raw against each other in a famous match, Lita was Trish's retirement match opponent, etc.

The Jim Cornette Experience
Callis was really good in the ring in Winnipeg on Tony Condello's shows. Definitely could have done more if used right.

Comments that don't warrant a thread - Part 3
Meanwhile, there's a Masked Republic show in Philly in on 4/27. "Talent set for the show are LA Park (the original La Parka as seen in WCW, ECW and MLW), Dr. Wagner Jr., Sabu, Damien 666, Bestia, El Exotico Cassandro, Negro Navarro, Pequeno Pierroth and Solar." Getting to see Navarro vs Solar live would be pretty fantastic.

Which WCW/ECW performer was most negatively effected by their companies closing?
"Sup Terra?" would have been legendary. "Jean Paul! You look jacked! What happened to your accent?"

WWE Network finally happening
They've done it occasionally. No idea why.

WWE Hall of Fame 2014
Summer Rae was seeking out Kyoko Inoue videos on her own in developmental.

WWE Network finally happening
Maybe they dubbed new audio over an existing Warrior video or something like that?

Dave Meltzer stuff
I would think the more powerful claim would be "Dudley was the first African-American to run a major United States arena." which is what wiki claims. Vince inducted him himself. Were there any fan recordings of the HOF? I know they showed highlights on TV. I'd be curious to know what he said. 1994 is the one year with a handheld recording available, so yes, and now that you've brought it up, I'm also curious about this. On TV, it was always "manager extraordinaire" during the hype and post-event video packages. You're right that it's more impressive to talk about the arena job if taken at face value.
