A guy who had been around for a good bit. Saw him when he popped up in Continental in the 80's. A real good worker.

Him and Alvarez discussed it on a recent podcast. Alvarez talks about how he's been watching old footage lately. He's been watching Raws and Nitros. Alvarez says that their's a ton to learn from by watching old footage. Dave did his regular talking point, but did say watching wrestling today is like watching a dance. While older stuff seemed much more emotional and the wrestlers weren't dancing, they were fighting. These aren't quotes but from what I remember. Dave says older footage shows guys doing stuff in a match to a guy he doesn't like in the course of a wrestling match.

Thanks. The 1st day I tried casting my media I got it to start, but then it would buffer out. Day 2 I got nothing showing up on my tv.

Did you try your Roku and casting it with the Plex app? I don't NJPW World but their press conference and intro video are there for free so I can try that when I get home. I haven't tried the plex app . I thought plex was just for files on your computer not for netflix or NJPW. Let me know if you make it work.

I was a NWA/WCW guy in the late 80's and 90's. When they went out of business I gave TNA a try. I got behind AJ and thought he was a good piece of talent. I went and seeked out his pre TNA work. That was pretty good for a young guy. He should make my list. I watched his match from the G1 with Suzuki last night and it was strong . They really told a pretty compelling story. Styles selling of the arm was great. I thought the run in kinda hurt the match. Some real fun reversals. The match cliqued. I thought it was in the 4 1/4*. With the NJ streaming network I'm really excited to try a product I haven't viewed regularly in years.

Another part of the interview that I thought cleared something up to me is in regards to Bret's book. In Bret's book when talking about Wrestlemania 13 he claims that Austin had never bladed before so Bret bladed for him. On the pod Steve mentions Bret cut him so the heat would be on Bret. I wouldn't be shocked if Austin worked Bret a bit on his inexperience with the blade so the heat wouldn't fall on him.

I tried my media for Roku casting with no luck. So if anyone else has any luck with anything similar holler.

Hopefully both companies can learn from one another when it comes to the technology and ideas of what people want.

That Biebier, I have a friend who's a local celebrity in ATX said during SXSW that a big music act is playing at Bangers as a surprise. So I got there right up front. Then I start noticing a bunch of young girls with parents. Out walked that Bieber. I was so angry.

I can think of Regal, Steiner (and I'm felling quite generous calling these two "really good"), DDP, Raven hum is there a Sting match somewhere that was any good ? I don't remember despite spending the last few years going through this stuff. I never cared for Goldy's squashes to be honest, no matter how great looking some of his spots were. Maybe he had more in the WWF, although I kinda doubt it. Their is a real good Sting match on the same Nitro Flair returned on in 98. I'd say it was a 3 1/2* . That's pretty impressive since they had to follow Flair's return which says a lot since the crowd gave so much for the reformation of the Horseman.

Steven I think you're stretching on that one as his downfall from becoming a great worker.

By bad booking do you mean keeping his matches too short to get a feel for him as a worker ? I mean squashing people got him over. He had an aura about him. I'm just not sure about being a great worker though.

Both Dave and you put Meltzer over for putting research on the front page. So I assumed Patera was on the front page of the Observer. Kinda of sad if Patera didn't get that treatment because the research was good.
