Rick Martel
Possible. He also teamed up with Piper and had good matches with the Sheepherders who aren't at the Buddy Rose level when it comes to working.

Alexander Otsuka
I'm a mark for Otsuka. He seemed so legit in the ring. It was helped by his style. I also thought he had a killer look too.

Mark Henry interview
Good interview. He does some shopping at my grocery store and he's a cool dude. We were flying out of Austin once and it was after 911.I was going somewhere and he was going to the World's Strongest Man Contest. We were both picked to get a closer look at. We shot the shit and he signed my Observer 89 yearbook that he thought was cool that I had it. I wished him good luck at the contest which he thought was neat that I new he was going there. He does a lot of charity stuff here in Austin, and is an asset to the city.

Jushin "Thunder" Liger
The guy has a shot at my top 10. He's a guy who got a generation of people in the 90's into tape trading. After Superbrawl 2 I was amazed by him and got me involved in a hobby that I love.

Titans of Wrestling #34: Interview with "The Russian Bear" Ivan Koloff
Thanks Brad.Ivan was an easy guy to interview. The Ivan doc has been getting worked on. The cover looks amazing. They just finished up interviewing Bruno for the doc. We have another interview set up for next week. I don't want to disclose who it is with in case it falls through. Just everyone keep on the look out for it. We feel it will be another fun one.

GWE Podcasts
I enjoyed this. It's was pretty diverse because it seems you all like different types of wrestling. I loved Dean's Jumbo and Stan Hansen talk. Especially how both guys could be # 2 and 3. Yet they had their fair share of stinkers with one another. Also liked the Bruno/Larry Z talk. We covered this feud in depth on Titans Of Wrestling and really loved the feud.

Brian Pillman
His poor booking in a weird way might help his case. Because the bookers didn't know what to do with him he never really broke through the glass ceiling. So as a result he got opportunities on the t.v shows to have matches with a variety of opponents. He's a guy who has a shot at my list.

Rick Martel
Martel in 1980 in Portland was tearing it up. I don't think it was 1984 a light bulb finally went off OJ. I think that was when he got his big push. In essence he was given opportunites in 1984 that he really didn't get except in 1980 Portland and he delivered in spades in Portland. OJ I think you're wrong in assessing Martel as a wrestler. My main problem with the match Parv mentioned was that it shouldn't have been booked so long with a jobber. That scenario works with underneath face v . a good heel. The other way just weakens the face.

The Rougeau Brothers
They were a real hit or miss team for me. I've seen way too many lazy performances from them.

WWE Network... It's Here
Already on Main Event they'll leave during a match and plug a movie. I hate they do it during a match.

We talked about this a little the other day. I was at an autograph signing. Tito Santana signed his autograph with the year he went in the WWE HOF.

How Your Views on Wrestling Have Changed
I'm much younger than Johnny. I was kinda from 96-2001 kinda dazzled by high spots. I was into Sabu and that Ilk for a bit. When WCW went out of business I started looking for smart work. Now that's what I need . I don't need some high spot to make me invest. I need good work.

2014 Wrestling Observer Hall of Fame thread
The 1st 3 sentences in the Lesnar breakdown shows a real inconsistency. Dave needs to establish if MMA counts or it doesn't. In my opinion it shouldn't . Especially since the Oberver awards are separated by match of the year and fight of the year.

WWE Network... It's Here
It's pretty alarming that even the SmackDown shows have stopped dead in their tracks. At this point there is now zero archival content being added with any regularity. Plus a ton of the deadlines have passed that the Observer reported a while back on ECW and WCCW.
