I will say if you watch the Martel/Rose series and say their wasn't enough big moves in it. We will have fundamental differences in working matches. If you like logic, everything making sense this match is for you.

I'll tell you what, the tag match and entire post-match angle/antics are right there for me when ranking against that singles match. The crowd really enhances both matches too. Can't recommend watching the above playlist that Kelly created enough. Portland has a lot of great stuff in it. In a large part due to Buddy. I have the Martel series as his best,his series with Hennig, Youngblood, and Piper are all full of great matches.

See Parv wrong again. I think the only time it was referenced was when I said when Chad and you disagree I usually side with Chad 80% of the time. Not the time he thought Perez was a potentially lost great worker though.

When I said the Rose/Martel was in my top 10 of all time. That might have been hyperbole. It might be. I will say it's in my top 10 of matches I've seen from the 80's. If you haven't seen the match I think it's well worth your time. I think it will give people a greater appreciation of the art of wrestling.

Jerry Lawler, Bill Dundee & Jackie Fargo vs. Blonde Bombers & Pete Austin + Jackie Fargo Promo (7/9/79) Man this is a total blast. It's also the Jackie Fargo show. He pretty much has so much charisma it's scary. He also has an arsenal of spots that mix comedy and brawling and he does it in spades here. All the heels are great at stooging and selling big for Fargo. Lawler is great at setting up Fargo's spots. The match goes 6 minutes and I'm smiling the whole time till the finish. The finish are the heels blind Fargo. Still a great match.

Watts is more athletic looking than famed footballer Vinnie Jones.

Just watched the Barbed Wire match and what a treat. These are 2 dudes just punching each other in the fucking face .... Really fucking hard . It had elements of a tough man contest. Loved the foreign object passing. Fargo's face and crazy eyes were great here. What a hate filled brawl. What makes it great is how simple it is. Violence in wrestling is good.
