AWA Wrestling Party #20
Do you think that last disc of AWA had fallen off the most of any of the best of the 80's sets? That's not a slam, because I really liked the set and I'm almost done with a ballot.

Titans of Wrestling #5
I was actually looking forward to Swede because of his rep as a big draw in the Carolinas. I had never seen him wrestle before. I'm fine never seeing him again.

Wrestling With the Past #2
I would have booked the turn that I'm a former World Champ. You don't boo World Champions. People said I was a closet champ . In fact people were afraid to face me. I won the title for you people and you thought I wasn't good enough. Something in that vain.

Wrestling With the Past #2
You're fine on Perez unless you start the possible great worker no one talks about point.

Wrestling With the Past #2
It's close, I think Perez and Hart could have made for some interesting t.v. Though Perez had a lot of holes in his game .

Wrestling With the Past #2
Plus Gilbert was all over the t.v late 88,89, and early 90.

Wrestling With the Past #2
I like a heel Gilbert a lot.

Wrestling With the Past #2
In 88 and 89 who would have made a better T.V champ than Rotunda. I liked hs gimmick, but the work was pretty bland. I think a heel Ronnie Garvin or Dick Murdoch might have been fun. What do you all think?

WON HOF 2013 discussion
That looks like a pretty strong ballot. I was wondering about your thoughts on Atlantis. Mexico seems like a pretty busy section.

Titans of Wrestling #5
Hopefully the letters from the mail bag get lost for the next show.

Titans of Wrestling #4
We didn't do one this week, but we're going to crank them out as time permits.

WON HOF 2013 discussion
Plus the quantity of people that are discussing older stuff can't be dismissed.

The Steve Austin Show
The country is Syria. Plus SCSA said speaking of assholes. They were talking about Jim Carrey and said speaking of assholes and started about the bombing.
-
The Steve Austin Show
They were talking on air at the end of the Lawler 2 show of possibley bombing or when the show airs bombing I'm drawing a blank on which Country. SCSA goes Mo we better edit that out in case. Then SCSA starts the take again where they can edit all the war talk out and it would be a clean cut.

The Steve Austin Show
I wonder if it had anything to do with how SCSA wanted the stuff about the troops edited out of the last Lawler show.

Babyface offense in US singles match structure
I will say one thing both are different cases. I agree with Soup on the Dibiase/Patterson match. The Dibiase/Patterson match was that Teddy controlled most of the match, but Patterson won. So Patterson made Ted look good, but Patterson also kept his heat with the victory and has the crowd thinking on a rematch Ted could beat Patterson. Their is also the veteran vs the youngster story going on.

Superstar Graham
I watched this match earlier in the day. I thought it was a fun match and exceeded my expectations. Superstar was awesome in his prematch. I dug Bruno's brawling start for the 1st few minutes. I thought Superstar's goofy bumping even added a little to the out of control element because he seemed out of control. Even his backdrop looked out of control. The mirror spots I thought were fun though they did lack transitions to them. I thought they had a great dynamic to each other that played well in the match. With these guys going 18 minutes I thought it would drag, but it really didn't. I liked this better than any Bruno match we've reviewed on Titans Of Wrestling so far.

Harley Race
Bob Backlund vs. Harley Race 9/22/80 Wow this was pretty mediocre. The guys went 35 minutes and I bet Backlund took about 27 minutes of it. I guess Harley's job was too make Backlund look good since at the time the WWF was just a territory. We talked about taking too much of the match on our recent Titans of Wrestling show. To me this is an example of it being bad. Both guys are billed as the World Champ so to me you would want to take more of the match if I was Race. The finish was a Race DQ that made it look like Backlund was on the verge of winning the title. They could of done this finish and allowed Race to look stronger during the match. People complain about Flair looking like a bitch to the Von Erichs, here I think it might even be worse. The action was pretty ho hum. Backlund worked multiple long headlock segments and didn't really do much with it. Race was content for the most part to sit in the headlock. Race did some stuff while sitting in the headlock, but not enough to make it interesting. I've seen Backlund work interesting headlock spots before, but not here. Race's offense consisted mainly of hope spots that Bob would cut off pretty quickly. What a shame, I was really looking forward to this match.
