Where the Big Boys Play #44
You guys mention on the show that you wish we got a Flair/Gilbert singles match. They had one on the ME in Feb of 89 that went around 11 minutes.

Ric Flair's best feuds
For me it goes Steamer, Funk, and Ronnie Garvin.
-
Bobby Fulton or Robert Gibson
I wasn't saying he was having the best matches in ECW. I was just saying he seemed more polished, and his stuff made more sense. I concede that you have watched more Rogers in ECW than I have. Still poor Rogers was shackled with Ghetti for the longest time.

Bobby Fulton or Robert Gibson
Rogers was a guy who could carry the action with his offense . Plus he could sell and make a match dramatic. Lane was good and brought things to the table like charisma, timing and knowing his role. Even as late as 97 Rogers was one of the more polished wrestlers in ECW.

Bobby Fulton or Robert Gibson
I'd take Rogers over Lane.

The Steve Austin Show
Yea it was real interesting hearing them talk about Steamer. You could really tell they both respect him a lot in the ring. I really would love to see Austin have Steamboat on as a guest. It was also pretty funny to hear Austin pimp you tube links to matches.

Bobby Fulton or Robert Gibson
I'd go Fulton. He brought some things to the table. One he threw one helluva a jack hammer punch. Secondly he worked the Fantastic gimmick well. Fulton seemed to really care about his performance. I also thought Fulton was good in coming up with ideas or spots in matches. From interviews from the MX they would say how angry Fulton would get if the spot didn't go right. I also thought Fulton had more charisma.Though I thought Gibson looked smoother in the ring.

Where the Big Boys Play #43
I would not call Tully a reverse Windham. You really have to look at the sample size. You are looking at Tully at about 5 t.v bouts . That really isn't a fair sample size to give him the label of big show worker.

Wrestling Culture Episode 42
I also liked how Dylan mentioned in the old Apter mags they would push the Sabu and Misterio as these amazing wrestlers. My 1st purchases was 2 best of Sabu from RF. Then I picked up the 94 and 95 J-cup. Then followed up with best of Misterio and Liger comps.

Wrestling Culture Episode 42
I'm about an hour in. I'm taking a break and will conclude on Fri or Sat. So far this has been really interesting. The Lawler breaking Heyman's jaw comes from the fact that they were building to a scaffold match where Paul would be involved in. The day of the show he's telling Lawler he can't do it he's afraid of heights . This lead to Lawler breaking his jaw during a match. A Memphis historian probabaly has the whole story. Another thing I always remember about Heyman was their was this picture floating around of him with 2 young soap stars. The 1st one is on General Hospital, and the 2nd one was a young Kelly Rippa from Regis and Kelly.

[1991-06-29-USWA-Memphis TV] Tom Prichard & Samu & Judge Dredd vs Danny Davis & Doug Gilbert & Dirty White Boy
I'm a huge mark for the tar and feather gimmick. Though with DWG involved it made me feel a little uncomfortable with the panty shots, and the man on women violence. DWB was great in his reactions.

[1991-06-29-USWA-Memphis TV] Jerry Lawler vs Ta-Gar, Lord of the Volcanoes
This didn't do much for me. Even when the announcers are calling it as a shoot. It was too absurd for me.
