I thought this was pretty good. It was a good give and take brawl. I absolutely loved the spot where Jarrett gave the Dr. an atomic drop into the ring post. He does a bump into the corner and spins out into a Jarrett clothesline. The hide the chain didn't bother me as much as Loss. Though at 1st the ref would confiscate the weapons . Then we get the hide the chain. The ref still takes the weapons. Then after he lets them use kendo sticks , belts etc. at 1st the hide the chain made sense in how the rules were being enforced. Afterwards though that went out the window. That is until the finish. Still even with the gaps in logic I liked the bout. -

They had a lot of good elements in the match like Slaughter working the back, the burying of Hogan in the flag was good,Slaughter still had the turnbuckle bump in his holster. Hogan seemed energized for the match. Still both guys seemed to plod through the match at times . Maybe if they went a tad shorter they could have trimmed the fat. The interference spot was so bad.

I think the last few years I think I prefer watching Backlund matches to Bret Matches. This isn't to slight Bret, but Backlund really is fun to watch.

Rogers is great right from the start at making Simmons look great. A really hot angle and the best thing in this feud. I've always been a mark for Simmons shoulder block to a prone opponent.

Tremendous Flair promo that gets me excited for a match that I no I'll never see.
