Where the Big Boys Play #34
I just wanted to say this might have been the best show the 2 of you have done together. You guys had some good analysis of the main event. Also I don't think it was Scott who booked the finish. I thought it was Flair who changed it to what we got to set up rematches for a heel.

Where the Big Boys Play #34
Also if I'm not mistaking the ppv companies offered this date to Turner for a ppv because Vince was playing hardball. Turner booked this show as a ppv, but Vince and the ppv providers made peace. Though Turner had booked the Superdome for a ppv show. Instead they ran it as a Clash.

[1991-01-17-NJPW] Big Van Vader vs Tatsumi Fujinami
The early parts really didn't do anything for me. Though when Vader started bleeding from the eye it turned the match for me. Seeing Fujinami keep on punching Vader in the eye was great. It added a lot to the match. It was a match that really wasn't going anywhere, but the last 7 to 8 minutes really turned it around into a good bout.

[1991-01-05-USWA Texas] Jerry Lawler vs Terry Funk
Wow this started out hot. One thing about Funk that makes him so special is you believe in the character that he is portraying. It could be crazy Terry Funk, Kind Uncle Terry, Terry the bounty hunter, Hero of Amarillo, Hardcore Legend, etc. Here he is as Terry Funk meniacle Terry Funk . You believe he is one dangerous SOB. The brawling in the crowd with those stiff ass punches. This was going great as a brawl like it was heading toward MOTY stuff. The 3 piledrivers were what they were but I got over it. Just the finishing sequence came out of left field and kept the match from being ass great as it could have.

[1991-01-05-USWA Texas] Jeff Jarrett vs Eddie Gilbert
I loved this match. They really clicked together as opponents and a really underrated feud. The boot laces was a really nice touch. This bout was set up well and built upon on all these neat little things. I even loved the Dusty finish because both guys especially Gilbert milked every moment and reaction from the crowd . They just really manipulated the crowd's emotions there.

[1991-01-05-WCW-Saturday Night] Brian Pillman vs Rip Rogers
A really cool match. The dive from the entrance way was awesome. The bump on the guard rail Pillman took was scary when it collapsed. I really think Rogers was a really strong worker.

[1991-01-05-WWF-Superstars] Brother Love: Hulk Hogan
I couldn't even imagine the Hulkster drawing #1. Why would any baby face go on the Brother Love Show. I mean they've been blinded, put in a hospital , or gotten their ass stomped to the curve.

[1991-Monterrey] La Fiera vs Jerry Estrada (Chain)
Man alive is that ring just nasty. I might have gotten a staph infection just watching this match. What a fucking brawl. The opening moments with the chain were like you're expecting someone to get maimed. The guys really lay in the shots, they rip the ring apart even more. I loved the spot where both wrestlers get tangled in the chain and both of them went into the chairs. I loved the visuals of them brawling on the floor and mothers are scooping up their children prepared to protect them. That finish was just throw up in my mouth bad. Still just a great bloody brawl.

Recommendations for 20 Crockett TV matches to watch
One more to add would be the 4/10/88 Windham/Tully Main Match. I liked the one Loss recommended better , but this is pretty choice too.

Recommendations for 20 Crockett TV matches to watch
Their is a MX vs. Rock N Roll that I think was on the 9/7/86 show that went around 30 minutes. Another bout to comp is the Flair /Steamboat Boogie Jam match from the Steamboat DVD.

I'm referring to where the Rock N Roll beat the MX in August for the title . Fuck I derailed this.

Recommendations for 20 Crockett TV matches to watch
My bad. The Rock N Roll title change should be looked at from August of 86.

Recommendations for 20 Crockett TV matches to watch
A few matches that are worth looking at . The Rock N Roll vs. Tully and Arn No DQ match from 9/87. They get a lot of time here. Sting vs. Muta from 9/11/89 they get more time here than they did at the Bash. Flair vs. Muta 11/25/89 from Saturday night. They get 15+ minutes to show what they can do against one another.
