  1. I think Will means the MX/RnRoll title change.

SMW was a territory of great talkers. That was the key to their t.v being so good. In a territory of amazing talkers he might have been the best.
  3. That's actually a pretty cool idea.
  4. His ex is also his business manager or something like that .
  5. Their really isn't a lot to take from Crockett. He was a bodyguard, feuded with Dusty, and then went down the card. I enjoyed the Garvin match too.

The Bossman argument seems very valid.
  7. On the Regal/ Taylor match. I thought for years that they work it just like a Kevin Von Erich- Jimmy Garvin match from the WCCW set.

I haven't watched the Bigelow match in a while, but I did like it.

I wouldn't call him a bad big show worker by any stretch. Though the weekly t.v is where he really shines. They put him in a ton of spotlight matches and he really delivers.

I like Windham a lot. I think the man has had a lot of really strong matches through the years. Let 's look at his Florida work 1st. He had good to great matches with Ron Bass, Harley Race, and Ric Flair. He would move on to the WWF and have some decent matches. The most noteable being that Murdoch single. Back to Florida he 'd have that classic with Flair at Battle of the Belts. Eventually he would transition to Crockett and have two more amazing matches with Flair , and a real good one that only got like 11 minutes. He started teaming with Ronnie Garvin and I believe feud with both incarnations of the MX and have some hot matches. He would also have plenty of really good matches with other members of the Horsemen. Most notably Tully Blanchard that produced a couple of 4 * matches in 88. Their was 4 ( could be 3-5) matches where he tags up with Luger against Tully and Arn that produced in the ring. He also had a 6 man teaming with Sting and Luger against the Horseman in another excellent match where he carried the face side in the ring. Their is a lot more to his career , but I just wanted to start here. I also think he was the best ever at the glossy eyed sell job.

The Martel feud was outstanding. One of their matches I thought was one of the best of all time. They had great chemistry with one another.

The match before intermission was the main event for night one. What they would put on last would be a program that is pretty hot like a Jake/Rude match or something in that ilk. Another time we had the Rockers vs. Brain Busters on last.

No I wasn't clear . Depending on the city you'd get 2 to 3 matches. In Houston we'd get 2. The 1st match before intermission , and then a couple of months later the blow off in a cage.

In 88 and 89. I would see Hogan vs Bossman, Savage vs . Dibiase , and Hogan vs. Savage. All of these would go on before intermission. The blow out would take place in a cage. Simple , but effective booking.

Jerry in the 80's the normal way was depending on the city you'd either get 2 or 3 main events of the same guy. For example here in Houston the 1st match between Hogan and Bossman would go on before intermission . The finish would be some screw job, or an angle to set up the next match. At intermission the announcer would announce tickets would be on sale for the date and time for Hogan/Bossman in a cage. This would be the blow off match, and would go on last. By this point a new program would be in effect and it would be advertised , and the cycle would continue.
  16. This was Arn carrying Zenk to make the match. When Ross talks about Arn's injuries from the Streetfight they are totally believable. I mean you see blood on his hand. The tape above the eye. He really looks the mess.
  17. This was a really good match. Hennig was on fire and Piper was with him the whole way.
  18. shoe replied to Loss's topic in 1990
Just finished the set. I thought Dandy was the best wrestler . I have Lawler and friends vs. Gilbert and the Memphis mafia as feud of the year. Gilbert edged out Lawler for best on the microphone. Though Hulk's Summerslam promo gave him huge consideration . Things from 1990 I hated are Ole Anderson booking, Ultimate Warrior promos, and Brother Love.
  19. So Gilbert brings out The Memphis Black Scorpion in Black Magic.
  20. I really liked the work a lot in this. I can understand Losses gripes with it, but they didn't bother me as much . Though that finish had horrible timing.
  21. For the 1st 15 minutes I was totally blown away by this. The last 5 minutes kinda limped to a conclusion. I'd still have this in the 4 1/4 * range.
  22. Ever since Ole took over the book. His heels have less heat , and the people aren't behind his top faces. Wow and I thought Kevin Nash was bad.
