[1990-08-25-USWA-Memphis TV] Interview: Eddie Gilbert & Dirty White Boy / Jerry Lawler & Bill Dundee & Austin Idol vs Dirty White Boy & Eddie & Doug Gilbert
The clips here look really great. I love all the wrinkles in this feud.

I'd rather have Bossman watching my back than that goofy bastard Tugboat.

Ted Dibiase runs the gauntlet
I always thought these were Ted's best feuds. I remember liking the Ted/Roberts stuff. Seeing that you thought they were boring makes me want to go back and watch it again. I remember liking the NO Dq match the most out of all of the Roberts matches.Though the stip wasn't 't worked to my liking.

Dick Slater
I liked him Mid-South. His feud with Jake Roberts was really good . He can do a lot of stuff. For example he could work a brawl, also was adept at stooging for the baby face. I thought Mid-South was a territory that played to his skill set. I was kinda disappointed with the Butch Reed feud in Mid-South. It was at the bottom of liked matches in DVDVR voting if memory serves correctly.

[1990-08-19-NJPW] Big Van Vader vs Riki Choshu
Just a good hard hitting match. Choshu's comeback is great with the lariats. I too dug Choshu going after Vader's eye.

Where the Big Boys Play #31
I love the fact that these guys are discussing big shows from the NWA/WCW. I enjoy the podcasts. I don't want to get the rap as the commercial hating guy, as it's not fair.Just like this podcast shouldn't be changed from Where to The Big Boys Play to the We Hate Lyle Alzado Fan Club.

Where the Big Boys Play #31
All due respect, it adds to the time capsule nature of the past show review. Kind of helps getting a bigger snapshot of the era by seeing what advertisers were being used by TBS back in the day for the Clashes. Maybe it's a different strokes for different folks thing. Or it might be I watched the damn thing live. I don't need to hear about those same commercials I watched when I was younger. Now as a capsule it would be great to see them and discuss. Getting a discussion about them means nothing unless you have a working knowledge of them. Either way I'm curious about hearing about Starcade 88 part 2.

Ted Dibiase runs the gauntlet
This is my feeling on it too. Soup you summed it up in one sentence. Plus as a guy who grew up in St. Louis and Houston I am a fan of Teddy.

Ted Dibiase runs the gauntlet
I'm with Soup on this one. Ted doesn't do anything bad in it, but he doesn't save the match by any stretch of the imagination. He was mediocre at best. He knew the crowd was shitting on the bout so he just bid his time till the match was over.

Ted Dibiase runs the gauntlet
I don't think the Warrior match from Japan is going to help Dibiase's case as a broomstick worker . I haven't seen it in years but I thought Ted had a better match with Warrior from SNME.

Comments that don't warrant a thread - Part 3
I went to a Raw brand show last night. It was fun. Punk got 100% heel heat so he was probably loving every second of it. Secondly, Cena got a huge face reaction. Because on the t.v he gets that split reaction . Is it the norm for the house shows that he is the super baby face. I will say the show is geared towards kids.

[1990-08-18-WWF-Superstars] Update: Mr Perfect accepts Kerry Von Erich's challenge for Summerslam
When Kerry worked in Houston for WWF they would promote him as Kerry Von Erich, and wouldn't push the Texas Tornado name. While everywhere else except Texas he was pushed as the Texas Tornado.
