Bruiser Brody
I loved his promo when he came in as a heel in TASW and doesn't say anything he just has this look on his face while Gary Hart talks . It really made Brody seem like a big deal and a big time player. It was a great segment that got Brody out of the gates hot.

Bruiser Brody
In Gary Hart's book he was a fan of Brody, and a friend and he buried Brody as a booker.

[1990-06-07-Hamada's UWF] Gran Hamada & Perro Aguayo & Kendo vs El Signo & El Texano & Negro Navarro
I thought bthe comedy spots here were well done, and had the crowd ate them up. This type of match would have gotten over huge in Memphis I bet. I wish instead of Mil and Cactus at the Clash we could have gotten some type of shorter version match than this.

[1990-06-02-USWA-Memphis TV] Jerry Lawler vs The Snowman
This is great and a total street fight. The wild punches, to the takedowns to the eye gouging . I loved how Lawler hit Snowman in the ear. I also loved when they did the takedowns they didn't shoot for submissions. They just threw bombs from the ground. Had a total school yard fight vibe. I'm not a fan of 5 minute Main events that you pay for. Maybe they should have thrown this on TV in studio, then again from what other people had said it drew out of the gate.

An undercard angle that the crowd got behind because Volkoff has that nice guy charisma, kinda like Bobby Eaton with out the talent that Eaton has.

Where The Big Boys Play #27
Listened to the show. I'm going to agree with Chad on the 1st tag. I thought it was real good. Not a classic or anything, but a good match that told a story. Another thing you notice is the Cornette factor not being at ringside takes the heat down on MX matches. We saw this on the 90 set with the Pillman/Zenk match on the 90 set. I liked the Dusty/Windham match. I thought the crowd heat made the match. I thought referencing the Observer was a good touch and to hear what Meltzer's talking points were at the time.

Where The Big Boys Play #26
Trying to get my post count up. Actually I was at work walking around with my phone and was multi tasking by posting and helping people at the same time. I thought it was better than telling people that I was too busy to help them because I was writing a post on a wrestling message board.

Another match from Main Event 88 he tagged with Larry z against the Fantastics. The Fantastics couldn't get a good match out from him. Again I think he's a solid worker with a decent look, but not a great worker.

Where The Big Boys Play #26
In his WCCW matches I thought Michael Hayes made their match. Same goes for his match with Kerry. I saw a match of his against Brad Armstrong recently from the Main Event from 88 that had some neat stuff in it that Perez busts out, but it was booked to go too long.

Some examples are I thought Manny Fernandez carried him in their tag teams .

To me he had his share of good matches. Most of the time I thought it was his opponent and or partner .

Where The Big Boys Play #26
The thing is I remembered all those damn things. Mike Ditka is one of the most famous coaches in history. He played TE for the Bears, and Cowboys. William Sanderson is a famous character actor from Dead Wood, and he's playing his character from Newhart from the commercial. Those Milk commercials were part of a huge marketing craze. Their are some famous people who pop up b4 they were famous . Dick Butkus was one of the biggest pitch men of the 80's.Middle line backer for the Bears. He springboard his commercial work into a role on Blue Thunder the series, the spinoff of the movie. Plus I don't think Al Perez is going to be a long lost great worker . He was a solid worker at best.
