[1992-01-31-WWF-MSG, NY] Bret Hart vs The Undertaker
You kinda forget how hard it is to get a good match with zombie taker. The gimmicky stuff is eye rolling. He does show some cool athletic stuff. Bret did a good job even with all the restrictions. In a few years they'll have some tremendous bouts with one another.

[1992-01-31-CMLL] Fuerza Guerrera vs Octagon
I thought this was a cool bout that seemed more like a set up for Cien Caras and Konnan. Fuerza has been a favorite of mine for a while. I always thought he was like the Arn Anderson of Mexico. In the sense that he could do comedy, get heat , can work on top in the right dynamic, and is a hell of a worker. I loved Fuerza's doing the Karate Kid pose on the top rope to mock Octagon, and takes a bump to make himself look the fool. I mean that is just a great spot. The dive from Octagon to the outside onto a backwards Fuerza where Fuerza takes a face first bump onto the chair in the front row was tremendous. Something when it comes to Lucha I always have a problem watching it cold watching it side by side of other styles. I prefer watching my Lucha while watching a couple of hrs of Lucha where I can get accustomed to the style.

[1992-01-26-UWA] Pegasus Kid vs Villano III
I enjoyed this match. Both guys are really good workers. It seemed that Villano lll realized that lucha wasn't in Benoit's comfort zone so they seem like they work a quasi Stampede/Japan style. Benoit was just suplexing the hell out of Villano lll. I dug the finish to the 3rd caida seeing that Benoit just punished Villano's back.

[1992-01-25-USWA-TV] Strap battle royal / Interview: Eric Embry
This was neat. Embry is such a sleeze. He looks like that guy on the corner slinging crack to keep his family off food stamps. Embry is a heck of promo.

[1992-01-21-WCW-Clash of the Champions XVIII] Cactus Jack vs Van Hammer (Falls Count Anywhere)
Just like Foley said in his book. Hammer was athletic, looked good, and was game for trying stuff. This is still a fun match. By far the best Hammer has ever looked. It's kinda like one of those Bret Hart/Tom Magee moments here with Cactus just calling a dandy of a bout that made Hammer look like a million bucks. Some of Jack's bumps were nasty. The one from the ramp was ick. The top rope sunset flip is downright insane. This is the bout when people should realize that Cactus is a ring general. Still something for both guys to be proud of.

I thought this was a tad boring, but it did kinda make Tatanka come across as a big deal.

[1992-01-19-Hamada's UWF] Lightning Kid & Jerry Lynn & Dr Wagner Jr vs Dos Caras & Silver King & El Texano
This match was en fuego. Caras and Wagner was so fucking boss. Los Cowboys were bad ass and I get the Mexican version of the MX that Meltzer liked to label them. Lynn and Kid were the worst workers here but they still delivered. Kid took a serious ass kicking from Caras. Kid and Lynn both missed on the same corner spot. I have no idea why they didn't sell Kid's dive because that was an amazing train wreck spot. Overall, this was just great.

[1992-01-21-WCW-Clash of the Champions XVIII] Tracy Smothers & Terry Taylor vs Brian Pillman & Marcus Bagwell
I thought everyone worked their asses off. Smothers was awesome as was Pillman. These guys for sure wanted that bonus. Cause if they didn't give a shit about it Bagwell would have been FIP. Like others have said Bagwell looked good in spots and clumsy in others. I also thought the finish was cool and could have easily been fucked up by less than stellar workers.
