[1993-03-27-SMW-TV] Down and Dirty: Kevin Sullivan
This was so well done, and advanced the feud with Sullivan and Lee. One thing about Sullivan, he knew how to build heat on a heel.

[1993-03-27-WCW-Worldwide] Ricky Steamboat & Shane Douglas vs Hollywood Blonds
I prefer the one that skips on this disc earlier in the disc. Still this match was another excellent match. I loved Pillman going all Johnny from Cobra-Kai on Douglas bad wheel early in the match. The story throughout was well done, and those towels got the Blonds a ton of heat. Again the wrestlers worked hard to get the crowd to care. By the 10 minute mark they finally got them and were super hot the rest of the way. One thing about this series is all 4 guys worked hard and got the crowd to give a shit.

CM Punk: Greatest Promo Ever
PPV buys is where the money is. Punk leaving and then drawing a big buy rate would you would think would put him in a really strong place when he came back. That is if he does leave for a while. Either way Punk should come back smelling like a rose. He draws a big buy rate he comes back a hero. If he doesn't draw a big buy rate he can still come back from a hiatus ala Jericho where his presence is missed on the show and should get a good push. Now if he does draw a big rate he should come back sooner than later so people in power don't forget or get killed backstage while he's not there.

CM Punk: Greatest Promo Ever
What is the opinion of the 2.9 rating from the go home show. Was the promo a little to inside for the casual audience to pick up on. I would love for Punk to be pushed as one of the big guys. This rating was not good though I hope we see a good buy rate for this show. I want to take the title away from the company is still a pretty strong angle or has all the stips not being honored in recent years killed this angle?

[1992-02-29-WCW-Superbrawl II] Rick Rude vs Ricky Steamboat
When Steamer came back to WCW in 91 he was hot. They really could have pushed him to the top with better booking. Even in the Rude feud which between the ropes was good. They booked him as being accused of stalking Madusa, needed a ninja bodyguard, looked stupid at the finish of Superbrawl 2. Then after his feud with Rude moved into the utility player, and never got that hot again. You've got to strike when the iron is hot.

Who Is Better?
I thought Sting/Rude only had the one KOC draw at the Clash in 92. As I recall, it was kind of boring. I'd like to know if they had more matches that year. From what I've seen, the Sting/Rude matches are some of the most disappointing because you would think these guys would work great together. Their are a few handhelds from 92 floating around which they were good matches. The Observers from around that time the feedback to the matches were good. I wouldn't call them classics, but a good main event. I saw one in Houston live that I enjoyed a lot in 92 at the SHC.

Who Is Better?
Luger had much better matches against Pillman. I don't think Sting had too many againt Pillman. I remember one from WCW Sat. Night though. While Luger had great ones from the Clash and Havoc 89. I still prefer Sting's body of work. Sting in 92 was having great matches with Rude, Vader, and had a bunch of great tag bouts on t.v. . In 89 Luger was better. He had better matches against Flair, Windham, Arn. etc. By the time Luger left WCW Sting surpassed him.

[1993-03-07-WAR] Ultimo Dragon vs El Samurai
This was just amazing and I even like it a tad more than the Casas match. Like Phil said the NJ-War feud added to the heat hear which was off the books. In the final stretch when Ultimo gives Samurai the Straight Jacket suplex was all sorts of awesome. Great great match.

[1993-03-19-CMLL] Ultimo Dragon vs Negro Casas
This was just an awesome bout. Both men were hitting on all cylinders. Casas is such a pro. The little cheapshots were so swank. That 3rd caida was just amazing.

[1993-03-06-WCW-Worldwide] Marcus Bagwell & 2 Cold Scorpio vs Hollywood Blonds
I thought this was a good tag. Scorpio's 1st entrance into the match was great. I thought Austin's dancing schtick was great. My main complaint was it was a tad chin locky. Which is fine when you have Steamer sell his ass off to get the chinlock over. Scorpio is good at this point, but his facials weren't as good as his rest of his game. Comparing him to Steamer really isn't fair since Steamer had some of the best facials of all time. Still a good little match.

That I knew about the ownership aspect. It just seemed to me that their was a lot of fingerprints on certain angles. You can see Cornette running old MX angles, Sullivan was like it was Florida again. The t.v's were booked like a quasi Memphis/Mid-South t.v show. Horner putting himself against the best heels in the territory to get over. Landell, Orndorff, DWB, and getting put in programs with the beat young talent like Candido. These are just some thoughts.

I always got the feeling that Cornette booked the promotion. I can see Cornette allowing Horner to book his own stuff. (like the ninja stuff) Plus you can totally see Sullivan booking his own program. Yet to say Horner had the book was a stretch. I might be wrong though.

[1993-03-06-WCW-Power Hour] Ricky Steamboat & Shane Douglas vs Hollywood Blonds
I went into my collection and pulled out a disc where it doesn't skip. This match is just tremendous. Steamboat's FIP stuff was great. I liked how Douglas sold his knee from previous matches. The Blonds were both excellent here. The way the crowd just got hotter and hotter was amazing. They were drowning out the announcers. Plus we got a fun little finish.
