NWA On Demand
This was some great tag wrestling, and a reminder that the Sheepherders were some heat magnets. The Sheepherders just stoked the fire for about the 1st five minutes. Chavo starts out on top. He gets cut off quickly. Then the Guerreros make a quick come back on the Sheepherders. The faces are just fantastic working over the heels legs with quick tags. This went on for a bit. The focus, and work was really good. Eventually the Sheepherders cut them off and work the faces over. The heat here was really good. I also loved the finish. 3 3/4*

Do the boys think this will morph into a longer run? Smackdown causes some arguments. Pete and Johnny argue about the whole Wyatt-Orton dark arts feud. This was for the Brass Knucks titles. I thought this was a super fun fight. Atlas with the hat was so cool. We get a little back and forth at start. Atlas in control using his cool athletic offense at 1st. Stomper cuts him off and beats on him. Atlas gets a little comeback gets cut off again. This time though Stomper has Atlas bloody and he really works the cut. Post match Tully and Gino attack. Slater is in the thick of this. Atlas cuts a really energetic promo that I got behind. 3 1/4* This goes right into Gino vs Slater. Slater takes it to him. While in an adominal stretch Gino gives Slater a thumb in the eye. Gino takes it to Slater. Gino misses his big elbow. Tully and Atlas join the fray. We get a big a brawl between the 4. The crowd is super hot, and the heat here feels dangerous. Overall the 2 matches together made the 2 parts even better. A super hot time in Houston. Atlas in Houston really feels like a mega star, and seems like a better worker.

[1980-08-08-Houston Wrestling] Pak Song vs Mr Hito
I loved Gary Hart's promo to start. Pak Song of course is famous in the Dusty Rhodes history. I enjoyed Mr. Hito in the match. I felt he brought a lot of energy here. Still not on the must see list.

Best Rey Jr. Opponent
I went Juvy. He had matches in Mexico, Japan, and the U.S that was epic. I mean with height and weight they were dopplegangers. They had great singles, tags and 6 mans with one another.

This Week In Wrestling 10/16/16
We both have watched the match and reviewed it at one point. Their is that element you speak of. I tend to think of him as a modern day Ricky Steamboat. Where both guys thought they were the best conditioned, had their signature spots for example Lee's PK to Steamer's arm drag, both were fantastic fighting underneath, both are masters of working a body part. I feel this was how Steamer would defend a title in the Carolinas in the 70's.

Like Lance Archer and I usually do a little back and forth. One time I said just to clarify I'm going to be booing you and this time you better not tell me to shut up. His response was let's save time and start it up right. SHUT UP!!!!

http://placetobenation.com/this-week-in-wrestling-101616/ Fall 1 Johnny picks about the worst match in the NWA on Demand service. The Big Uhmm vs Twin Devil. Then Pete talks about the current ROH show. Hint he loved O'Reilly and Shibata. Pete and Johnny discuss how and why no selling can work dramatically. They talk about how it can be over used. Fall 2 Timothy joins Pete to talk the current episode of Lucha Underground. Come hear what we thought of the show. Then they shift over over to CWF Mid-Atlantic. Both guys rave about Trevor Lee vs Arik Royal. Find out who Pete compares Trevor Lee to. Then they breakdown the latest Progress shows. We give thoughts and star ratings on all the matches. The guys talk about how Progress from 6 months ago seems like 6 years ago. Is Progress evolving into something else? Is it getting too big? Fall 3 We talk about all stuff WWE. We defend Samoa Joe as a character, but have differing opinions on in ring work. Some fun Goldberg-Lesnar talk. Gush over Miz, and throw some love at the Spirit Squad. Johnny and Pete show their softer side and defend the women on Raw. 00:00:30 Fall 1 00:00:48 NWA on demand The Big Um v The Red/Twin Devil 00:09:45 ROH TV 00:19:25 Fall 2 WON HOF talk 00:37:06 Lucha Underground 00:54:00 CWF-Mid-Atlantic Worldwild 01:02:25 Progress Chapter 36: We're Gonna Need A Bigger Room...Again 01:46:33 Fall 3 NXT 02:04:53 RAW 02:46:48 SD! Arm Wrestling match This is an arm wrestling match. Superstar is a master of this gimmick. This was worked so well. SSBG stalling early. The back and forth. SSBG leg movement with the table. Then ultimately cheating and beating on Patera. I absolutely loved this angle, and hope we get the match.

Bock vs JYD This is some really fun stuff. I enjoyed Bock's stalling in this. So when JYD got his hands on him the crowd erupted. JYD bleeds, Bock works the cut. You strip this down to its core it's simple, but effective. The Heenan stuff is pure gold. 2 1/2*
