Didn't he date Mulligan's daughter (now his wife) first before getting into it?

[1991-08-26-WWF-Summerslam] Ted DiBiase vs Virgil
I liked the flip he did once he was handed the belt. A sort-of good way to end the feud, even though it really ended with Repo Man stealing it and giving it back to Ted to get that character over if I remember correctly. A little strange to me that Piper didn't get out of the booth to celebrate with him. First guess would be they were on a tight schedule and couldn't drag out the victory as much as they could have.

Comments that don't warrant a thread - Part 3
I'm sure they knew it was going to be a rather infamous spot. I don't think Rock was ever more hated as a heel before or since that night.

[1991-08-17-WWF-Superstars] Update: Ric Flair is WWF bound
Did his contract expire in September? I was watching a bit of SummerSlam from this year and thought that the perfect place for him to have started on screen.

Brutus Beefcake's 1989 Timeline was pretty good. His memory is a little shot because of the head injury but he had some good behind-the-scenes stuff to dish about. Mostly how he hated the Barber gimmick from the beginning, which he "blamed" on Pat Patterson. It is said he made the most of it and got over well with it, but I was surprised at how much he didn't like turning face (Question, was he really over as a heel to begin with? Just by himself, not with Valentine.) As anyone who's seen the youtube clip, he does put down Arn and Tully. Tully is understandable given his rep, but I guess his beef with Arn goes back to WCW (Flair has said in his shoot interview and his book that Hulk & co. wanted Brut-eye to take Arn's place on the roster, basically). And of course, he talks about Hulk about 1/3 of the interview and himself for another third. The match where Bret broke his sternum segues into a diatribe about DDP nearly taking his head off with a chair shot on a Nitro, and making excuses for it instead of apologizing (if anyone knows which show that was on, I'd like to know). "Free James Brown!"

Dream Tag Team Match-ups
I'd have much rather seen Arn/Dynamite one-on-one.

There was a brief taste of that in the '88 Survivor Series match.

I really want to see the Snowman/Jake match if it's the one I'm thinking Jake referred too in one of his shoots.

It should be noted that if people thought the crowd was dead on TV, about how the response doesn't come off as well because it is outdoors. Someone on Twitter said the crowd was pretty up during the Lesnar/HHH match.

The video packages were annoying but better than constant backstage segments. This was a much better show than I thought it'd be.
