  1. Coming out in blue jeans didn't help. I was there and although I can't compare his and Vader's pop's I'd say it was a little bigger than it probably came across on TV.
  2. And like I said elsewhere, this couldn't have been a worse time for him to play up on his Frank Drebin character.
  3. Depends on the price really, it's 7.99 here (Comcast's price anyway) so if it's equal to what it is where you are and if you're able to squeeze it in I'd say it is. I have both Netflix and HBO so I couldn't really justify it, especially with my limited budget.
  4. Going to Raw tonight, 4th time it's been here and the 4th time I've gone.
  5. You mean Heenan and Bockwinkel right?
  6. Flair said in his shoot interview he was planning on sitting back and relaxing for a year, and amusing himself by seeing how they would attempt to cope without him.
  7. The time I met Bobby in a record store for an autograph session (in 1999, day before Owen died actually), I asked him what music he listened to and the follow-up was what does Tony like and he made a remark that painted him as a pedophile. So I can confirm how much Bobby didn't care for Schiavone.
  8. No doubt it still stands as the best RIP segment WWE has done.
  9. Is Jesse's commentary removed from the matches he's announcing? EDIT: Nevermind, watching it on Netflix now. It sadly is
  10. Wasn't there a big number of Bret fans in the crowd that night? Maybe not equal to Davey but still a presence in the audience.
  11. Meltzer buried the Piper segment, too.
  12. I'm sure in their eyes, all the badmouthing we do about him is actually working in their favor since he is after all a heel announcer. Someone should tweet this to Piper, see how he reacts.
  13. I'd probably be pissed off too (I skipped that segment). Not so much for Lou but Cole dumping on anything Old School. Fucking guy is a parasite.
  14. Didn't they say it's just for tonight?
  15. Didn't see it, but I'm happy his major-league botch won't be the last thing people who watch will remember him by.
  16. They can get away with that, and rightfully so because it's both Bret and Joey's opinions. Same reason they let Jim Cornette do those 3-4 minute segments in '97, letting him vent away at whoever was in his craw that day.
  17. Also why they shifted from "Modern Day Warrior" to "Texas Tornado" for Kerry Von Erich.
  18. Was it during his first run with WWF that Steamboat got the "Dragon" moniker? If so, that's one re-branding that worked because it added on to his babyface appeal, and seemed less cartoon (except his brief run in '91).
  19. Plus I'm sure it would be easier for them to just get Dennis and Bobby or Ricky and Robert to talk anyway.
  20. He eventually did give Barbarian and Warlord new outfits, but you're right.
