  1. Meltzer said when he saw Arn on RAW last year, he's looking more and more like Ole.
  2. The History Channel in the U.S. launched an American version of the program last fall. There's one in Australia, and one in China of all places has started.
  3. And that he even had a knee injury at all is debatable.
  4. Yeah, I saw that too. I've never seen him work before that, so I was too blown away by the high spots to worry about it too much. Haven't seen anything like that in a major company since I first saw Rey in WCW.
  5. My first guess is that Del Rio and Christian will headline Extreme Rules and the winner takes the title, but that's old school thinking kicking in. I was floored by the announcement tonight. I knew it was really real when he said Ross hired him, and it was concrete during the next segment when everyone backstage applauded and hugged him. I have to say I've never been a huge fan of his, but I can appreciate the passion he has for the business. And as he said himself, I can't imagine a better way for him to have gone out. I looked this up for no real reason a few days ago. This might still be his finest promo, ever.
  6. Well, as he put it himself I can't imagine a better way for him to have gone out. Regardless of it being the first match, it was still a good showing by him and Del Rio.
  7. Actually, how it is now is shaping up to be is how I originally envisioned this angle would end. Cole/Swagger lose, Swagger beats the hell out of Cole after and Lawler makes the save.
  8. Yeah. Not too familiar with Sweeney's work.
  9. Tonight Cena used the term "Sports Entertainment" twice I believe. Who ever thought that would be a step up?
  10. How Christian of him.
  11. One thing I will give him the benefit of the doubt for is how he left WWE, and how he said back then there was no such thing as 2 weeks notice. It's not the most moral thing he could have done, but he certainly wasn't the first guy to leave without a trace.
  12. One could put the blame on Arezzi. I could easily since I loathe talk radio blowhards.
  13. I really identify it nowadays as keeping tabs on a childhood obsession. The closest thing on televsion nowadays that captivates me like WWF and WCW did as a child is Top Gear (British version, of course).
  14. Or dig Ric Flair out of the ground...
  15. The living, breathing death of professional wrestling. If he wasn't around to push WWF go into the direction it did in the late 90's, someone else would have. He took WCW beyond the point of no return creatively, thus contributing the demise of what should still be WWE's strongest competition. Beyond that, I don't know what to make of him personally. His born-again routine seemed the least sincere by coming off as overly sincere, going as far to regret booking controversial angles because of it. The whole "Oklahoma" gimmick offended me personally, as someone who has sympathy and patience with people who have debilitating handicaps.
  16. I think so. And I imagine there are more and more guys on the roster who feel that it should go back to it's roots a bit. I applaud C.M. Punk for putting those little jabs in his promos about WWE's jargon, because it tells me maybe he feels about the product the way a lot of us do. I know it sounds terrible, but I wish the economic troubles that plague most of the country catches up with them. Just any kind of hardship on the company to put their feet on the ground for once, because direct competition is out of the question. TNA is well...TNA, and ROH (from what little I've seen) doesn't work as well on television as it does on DVD or especially seeing it live.
  17. Watched The Rise And Fall Of WCW on Netflix today. I was quite surprised at how little face time Vince or anyone on his side who didn't work for Turner before at the time had on camera. Unlike the Monday Night Wars doc, It was never mentioned once that WWE killed WCW in the ratings towards the end, and focused more on the real reasons why the company folded which everyone here knows. I'll even go as far as to say it was a puff piece, because it glossed over the fact that Hogan didn't get any bit of the desired response WCW wanted him to get. And I'm sure there's more to it than that.
  18. Replace bodybuilding with cheese sandwiches, and old school prog rock for metal, I'm pretty much the same. And I couldn't tell you how many points a field goal earns if you held a gun to my head.
  19. Is this the first time no belts changed hands at a WM?
  20. I'm hearing rumblings that Taker suffered a pretty bad concussion last night. Anyone else hear that?
  21. I can't think of a singles match he's had.
  22. For me, probably watching VIII live. First big PPV I ever watched live, a decent card, and a cool finish for an 8 year old mark.
  23. http://heymanhustle.craveonline.com/videos...erts-interviews Funny video from the press conference (ESPECIALLY at the end)
