  1. I listened to the DDP bit and yeah, Bruce's true colors are flying pretty high here. But that is, strange as it sounds, the beauty of the show. He is a direct conduit to the McMahon mindset. He's certainly got his own opinions which maybe stand contrary to Vince's, but Bruce was indoctrinated by working there long enough you can see the way a very complex mind works.
  2. Okay I'm a few episodes in, and hooked. He's a good podcaster.
  3. Many titles were added several months ago, and new ones have been added in the last 24 hours including: British Bulldog Davey Boy Smith (1993) George The Animal Steele (1987) The Hulkster Hulk Hogan (1985) Hacksaw Jim Duggan (1989) Bret Hart: Greatest Matches (1993) Hulk Hogan: Real American (1989) Jake The Snake Roberts (1987) The Hart Foundation (1987) The Ken Patera Story (1987) Macho Man and Elizabeth (1987) Bruno Sammartino: Living Legend (1987) The Life and Times of Capt. Lou Albano (1986) The Undertaker - The Face of Fear (1994) Ricky The Dragon Steamboat (1986) Roddy Piper's Greatest Hits (1985) Andre The Giant (1985) Mixed feelings on a lot of this, especially having to do with music being replaced. I miss the music for the prologue to those old Coliseum vids, even though they left the sequence intact. Then again, there are matches on a lot of these you can't find elsewhere on the Network.
  4. Brown - causes opponents to retire and become UPS workers.
  5. We need to think up new colors to use.
  6. Very interesting face/face match featuring guys they really weren't doing a whole lot with other than filling the underneath slots. I wonder if Vince put this together to see potential in either as guys who can have a bigger place in the card. Bellomo heels up a little more but I didn't get the feeling the crowd was anything but split in terms of the reaction.
  7. Any good? The list of interviewees are quite interesting and I've heard one clip of him and Prichard reminiscing about Lord Alfred Hayes which was pretty good. Just wondering if there are any dedicated listeners here.
  8. Someone on Twitter speculated about the Andre doc as being WWE's attempt to rehabilitate Hogan's image. From the WWE side maybe, but I can imagine there was more urgency on the HBO/Bill Simmons side to get him on it, because he is a big part of that legacy. I do think the film spent far too much time building up why Hogan became big in the 80's (namely using the Rocky III footage as opposed to stills), but think just as much that it could be a flimsy attempt to add heat onto this already smoldering situation.
  9. Some of the segments they did are problematic looking back (like the one where basically everyone buries Austin, calls him a coward and that he took his ball and went home). If they chose to edit those out, I wouldn't complain. They did a nice tribute video to Curt Hennig that includes a very young and emotional Brock Lesnar talking about the impact he made on Lesnar's life.
  10. WWE said there were no cameras present for the speech he made to the locker room
  11. Any chance of them putting up episodes WWE Confidential?
  12. It might have been dialed down a bit, perhaps given the fact that it appears all that energy will go towards the reboot of the XFL. It gives some credence to the news that Vince has put his personal money into this. Just as an aside, I have to say I really like the artwork for each episode of this, and Bischoff's show. Some of it's a little too goofy, most of it is funny, but this week's episode on Bash At The Beach '94 has a really nice one that could be almost a one-sheet for the show itself.
  13. I'll withhold judgment until I actually see it. Those docs don't shy away from touchy subjects if the programs on Angle and the Hardys are any indication. I would just hope they don't try to wrap it up with some kind of resolution and leave it a bit more open-ended here.
  14. Finished the Heenan episode. Quite emotional towards the end, I didn't realize just how close they were. Bruce said, and I think he's absolutely right, that if Heenan had a podcast it would be huge.
  15. I would agree letting him back on TV would not be a good idea at all. Aside from the optics of it, he couldn't adapt to the heavily-scripted nature of the interviews to save his life.
  16. Wasn't he assaulted by marks when he wasn't even working for them anymore? I forget if it was Facebook or Twitter but one of the comments on the post announcing this show asked Bruce what he thought of ruining a man's life, which I thought was funny (I can have a dark sense of humor sometimes).
  17. Good. Considering the reputations and actions of some other people who were inducted, and as of yet not kicked out, what he said was a drop in the bucket.
  18. I love his anti-Trump stuff on Twitter, but I've stayed away from his podcast because I don't wish to listen to it either.
  19. Sid could have bashed Joe Torre with that camera and the crowd still would have cheered him on.
  20. I watched several episodes of JBL's show yesterday. Kind of a bummer they put the kibosh on it, I thought it was good for what it was.
  21. According to the Kindle link, the publishing company's name is "Walking On Hot Waffles". I should hasten my dream of becoming a writer, sign up with them so I can tell my grandchildren one day that the great American novel was published by them.
  22. I suspect if the book is any good it'll speak truth to power as to what happened between them. Or at least as much as a pro wrestler can, even today. Is it only sold on his website?
  23. Brutus Beefcake's book got a lot of plugs on the latest Something To Wrestle With. Conrad Thompson said something along the lines of it being one of the best wrestling books he's read in awhile.
