  1. I won't say I'm surprised Ali isn't in already, but I wonder if that's a case of him or his people turning them down.
  2. It's too bad that the injury took him out when it did. Needless to say he would have been worth more to the company as an in-ring talent. And FWIW I didn't think he was too awful in the WWF when he managed. He looked more the role when he started wearing more tasteful suits instead of his old attire.
  3. Nice that they added the tease to the Pit that never happened in 1992.
  4. A face Ted Dibiase managing the Steiner Brothers in WCW was odd.
  5. Heenan would have been a good choice instead in 1990. Bobby didn't have a tag team, and Fuj already had the Orient Express.
  6. It would not be a bad idea except I firmly believe WWE doesn't have the committee they do. That it's really just the very inner circle, deciding on a group of people that they're not pissed off at, won't give them a bad name, or will and/or have sold a lot of DVD's and Network time.
  7. What territories are left for them to draw from now? Just Florida and ECW?
  8. Question about the Mid-South shows, do all of the ones uploaded so far feature a match or something else from the DVD released a few years ago? Better yet, are there shows that weren't on it at all?
  9. I'd take the Bushwhackers out of that. Their Hall of Fame speech was Hall of Fame-worthy in and of itself quite honestly.
  10. How can that kind of match be considered a squash match? Jobbers actually won in the AWA?
  11. How many guys are on Legends contracts but not in?
  12. Hopefully they put on more WCCW too. I would not be surprised if that were to happen soon as part of the build up to Mania.
  13. And Mid-South
  14. Tatanka had a long undefeated streak and later one of the few genuinely shocking heel turns in the company (even though I saw it coming) + he beat Luger when wins and losses still mattered and Luger was still a big deal. I was never a Tatanka fan, but he did have an impact for 2-3 years. Okay, I'm convinced. Seems like Waltman will be going in too if I had to guess. Hopefully the Fabulous Freebirds, and maybe someone like Stan Hansen.
  15. I just watched a random PTW from '87 and noticed during one of the matches that the "Superstars of Wrestling" banner wasn't blurred.
  16. So strange him and Verne died in the same year. This one is actually a surprise to me because I figured Nick would be one to have gone in his 90's.
  17. 88 for me, partly because it's the only chance of seeing a Arn & Tully/Bulldogs match. The Demolition/Powers of Pain switch never seemed like it really worked with the crowd that night, as I think POP are still getting cheered as they walk out with Fuji. But I recently re-discovered the 87 match and it's really nothing to sneeze at either. More from a historic standpoint now, but I get what the OP is saying in terms of how it really didn't go anywhere in terms of booking. Strike Force not getting much time in the match and getting beat cleanly was particularly strange.
  18. So these episodes were on 24/7?
  19. Now they're denying it.
  20. I read one theory that he was going to be a mascot that they'd bring out during TV tapings to liven the crowd up.
  21. I have vague memories of him on Saturday Night, and actually remember seeing a T-shirt in their magazine's catalog with him on it.
  22. POPTV used to be the TV Guide Channel.
  23. Early prediction for next year: Haku.
