  2. One of the brothers on Bloodline would make a perfect Jim Duggan.
  3. A lot of them in this.
  4. When I saw him on Larry King after the Benoit incident, I just knew WWE needed this guy as a public face of the company. Desperately. John Cena conducted himself very professionally and came off very educated to the questions he was asked. Almost the complete opposite of what Vince had been in interviews before. And reading all the things I have about how committed he is to being the company ace, I just get the feeling if Vince loses him the way he did some of those other guys he only has himself to blame. On top of everything else, what separates him from some of those other guys is that none of them grew up wanting to be professional wrestlers when they were kids. Not only that, he wanted to be WWF champion, which tells me if there was WCW-level competition this whole time he'd still be loyal to Vince and everyone.
  5. Is Giant Baba in?
  6. I wonder how much of it was a shoot on him. Flair said in his shoot interview he was in a meeting with Hulk and everyone else, and when they were talking about talent needed to be cut Hulk brought up Arn Anderson and said "what value can he bring to the table as opposed to a Brutus Beefcake". Ric probably did well to remember that incident here.

Exactly, and there is precedence by the company about this kind of stuff that goes way before the AE too. Tully Blanchard said in a shoot interview he saw people rip away Horsemen signs during a TV squash against Class of 2015 inductees The Bushwhackers.

And I guess there were some Daniel Bryan signs confiscated from the crowd, too. I think the more people speak up about it, the more this could be a very thorny Freedom of Speech issue for the company, especially if someone decides to sue.
  9. The first one on the Network is the one where Heenan started to take over for Ventura who went to film Predator. The intro was interesting in that nothing is really over the top, and Heenan pretty much acts like a straight-up co-host aside from a few heelish remarks and opining that we might see Jesse grab an Oscar. They were doing the roundtable format when I started watching, which I liked. I can't wait to revisit that stuff when it goes up. Hopefully they put up All-American, too.
  10. Question for anyone who uses this via Apple TV, can you skip through chapters on the On Demand content?
  11. Here's an odd one for you, I tried watching it on my Sony BDP-S5100, and next thing I knew all the video apps gone. Netflix, Amazon, Hulu, everything, gone.
  12. I just realized I haven't watched a whole lot of these. Booker T's speech and induction from Stevie Ray (feel stupid for saying this here, but I never would have guessed they were actual brothers) was cool to watch in the context of just having seen that 24/7 special. I'm on 2012 now, and JBL's induction of Ron Simmons was actually thrilling to watch. I wish I could say the same thing of his broadcasting.
  13. Holly literally didn't say that, that was just the jist of what his tweets were.
  14. 2 random 80's WWF questions; What was the context of Brutus Beefcake coming out to help Roddy Piper beat Adrian Adonis at WrestleMania III? Also, is it true Lou Albano played all the instruments on his song on The Wrestling Album?
  15. It's now being reported Bill is gone gone.

I wonder how well they knew each other in the Terra Ryzin' days.
  17. The most awkward thing I saw from '94 aside James Dudley was seeing Arnold Skaaland talk about Shane like it was already pre-determined and decided that he would take over.
  18. Ever the good employee. He'll crop up somewhere else.
  19. Because the Super Bowl isn't held the day after.
  20. Didn't Billy Gunn replace him as head trainer?
  21. FWIW, Bob Holly gave his .02 about it on Twitter, basically saying if there's smoke there's fire. I'm by no means a sports guy, but I get that trainers should work their charges hard. But what Bill is being accused of veers straight into sociopathic behavior, and is beyond me as to how it would be beneficial to anyone trying to get into WWE. Or anything.
  22. Tom Sizemore would be a perfect Johnny Valiant.
  23. I watched the 2004 HoF last night. I still love watching Heenan, Race (and Flair introducing him) and Ventura's induction speeches. I still wish they did them in those environments more conducive to more thoughtful speeches. It's not to say there hasn't been more like that since then, but the WWE can't help being the WWE sometimes.
