How can wrestling appeal to educated people with money?
It's impossible because those kinds of things don't get over with crowds who are easily provoked into cheering or booing. Shows like Breaking Bad are best watched by yourself, or at the most a number of your friends and family.

How can wrestling appeal to educated people with money?
Story-line wise I don't think wrestling could ever be as multi-faceted and interesting as a lot of the really good cable shows. Part of why is timing. Some of the really good shows in the post-Sopranos era have taken their entire arc to build to what we would call the blow-off. Angles generally don't have those kinds of arcs, and if they do they're on shaky ground because any number of things could happen. This other angle could take away all your steam because it has gotten more fan attention, there could be any number of personal or business disputes behind the scenes that puts it all in risk, and to be incredibly timely because of the Daniel Bryan situation, injuries. This isn't in direct relation to the question, but the fans of those shows in general cross a lot of different lines, including income.

[1996-09-23-WWF-Raw] Interview: Jim Ross
It was the best segue into how he became the voice of the company, because it unwittingly put WWE in the position of suddenly having a three-man team with JR, Lawler and Vince. And once Montreal happened, Vince could never go back to the broadcast booth.

Did Nitro put up a graphic before their show started that night? I seem to remember learning about his death that way.

WWE TV Rights Deal
Who else would we be rooting for? USA, who would just use the time with one of their crappy shows or more NCIS reruns? I would like it if the deal was as good for the talent as it will be the McMahons, it does bother me that the Network is affecting their contracts as has been stated.

Best HHH matches
The first Undertaker Mania match at 17. By no means either of their best WM match (his match with DB and the Triple Threat with Michaels and Benoit would do well to stave that off), but I was impressed by it when I really wasn't on board with The Game.

Not to nitpick, but couldn't you find a PPV dub of the show?

[1991-11-19-WCW-Clash of the Champions VII] Arn Anderson & Larry Zbyszko vs Ricky Steamboat & Dustin Rhodes
I think it's either Jim or Tony, but one of them basically points out how they haven't seen a match this hot in awhile which speaks to how bad things were before, and how the clouds were lifting with regard to the in-ring product. Rude and Steamboat coming in almost back-to-back was a shot in the arm WCW needed to fill the void left by Flair.

WWE Network... It's Here
What I think would be cool, is if WWE put up any damaged clips they had on YouTube, for free. Or better yet, seek out high-quality tapes from collectors if there are any.

WWE Network... It's Here
What would be cool is if they had a multi-part series on what goes on behind the scenes from every technical perspective, including TV production, pyro, and obviously construction. Would especially be interesting if it was for WrestleMania, as those obviously get the most focus of any one show any given year.

[1993-12-27-WCW-Starrcade '93] Ric Flair vs Vader
When Buffer is introducing him, you can see that the response is legit getting to Ric, in a positive way. Nearly everything turned upside down for him from a professional standpoint from when Turner bought out the Crockett's, to when he got fed up with Herd and left. Flair got his mojo back in WWE for certain, even if they didn't use him as well as they could have you could see his confidence had returned. Even when he returned to WCW, and was stuck in things long-time fans found embarrassing (he liked the "Flair For The Gold" segments, but felt they should have been given more time), his enjoyment of what he was best at was undeterred. It's rare in life that things come full circle, but for that night it must have for him.

WWE Network... It's Here
To take away that it's a reality show and might be scripted anyway, it's hard to take Duggan seriously when he's mad like he was in one segment, because every promo and interview he's done has always been in a shouty voice. Piper looks like an Irish Boston mob guy with that hat he's sometimes wearing, and Hillbilly Jim reminds me of an extra from Justified. shakla, Legends House is rated TV-14. Their ratings system is a little weird. A lot of the Attitude Era Raw's and Smackdowns get TV-PG when they were TV-14 back when they aired, Raw anyway. I think one of the early Starrcades actually merited a TV-MA, I'm guessing for all the bloodshed. Blood seems to bump anything up to a TV-14.

I like stuff like that as long as it isn't too distracting.
